God he is a !!!!!waffle - poor DS.
It might just be me but if I had my son once every 2 weeks I would make sure I had enough money in my account to cover his travel (although doesn't he get it reduced) at the bear minimum and maybe extra to go out and do something.
And what does the girlfriend/partner think, I would be reading my boyfriend the riot act if he said he wasn't having his son and I would be making sure it all went ahead.
Honestly my heart breaks for DS - my son's biological father did the same, once my son got to 13 and his father had started a new relationship and had children he told him he wouldn't be able to take him out any more and he didn't need to visit every other weekend as per the court order.
I think it has played some part in why my son doesn't really like him, my son is 22 now so can make his own choices.0 -
He said its because he has no money as the csa have taken £1k from him this month - this isn't true, they haven't taken any. I'm not telling ds that though. At the court this week he had to produce wage slips and he's currently earning £3k+ a month
It is his sisters 2nd birthday this weekend too so he will miss out on thatNo doubt she will be having a party / presents - ds hasn't even had a card (birthday was end of July).

3k a month and can’t pay for his son to visit or pay the maintenance.
I would be telling my DS he hasent paid.
I hope his current partner is observing this is how he treats his DS & thinking this could be me a few years down the line.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Ds knows he hasn't been paying, that's why we went to court, but I son't want to tell him that it's a lie about the csa taking his money this month - ds already feels like an afterthought in his life, don't want to add to it
He's having a nice lie-in at the moment so that will do him good anywayMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
