I have an "irregular, regular heartbeat" - whatever that means!!! The Dr. just said it was normal for me. I do watch my caffeine intake and mainly drink roobush (redbush) tea as it is caffeine free. I also drink de caff coffee. When I go out I just drink whatever I like. I started doing this after the heartbeat thingy which was around 3 years ago. As you know I had my hip replaced 3 months ago - nothing was said about the heartbeat then and I surivived so maybe it has righted itself - or maybe this is normal for me. I don't think about it any more, but at the time I was scared.

    Hi mrs p:)
Hope you are recovering well from the hip operation anyway . I think the irregular heartbeat isn't rare imho. At least not as rare as myasthenia gravis :rotfl:
Maybe I've been anxious for some time and with all the uncertainties in my life at the moment I'm getting additional stuff to contend with. Who knows ?
I won't worry about it while I'm thinking about the other stuff that's going on ...
  • Well well well , I am now being toyed with by the universal credit system . I can see why there are many suicides and the like .
Many of these people don't realise that they too will suffer , and rightfully so . Anyway that's my rant for the moment .

I received a message in my u c journal telling me that my appointment in March next year has now been put forward to weds 16 October . The same day I see Mrs doctor regarding my ecg.
They say I am "capable of some kind of work " . In my present state I do not think so . They didn't answer my direct question properly as to whether I am in a support group , or a work related activity group .
I replied that I will attend the appointment obviously and asked the work coach to clarify .
Not feeling the best these days , but if I'm sent somewhere I shouldn't be in the future it could be a case for a no win no fee solicitor if I collapse or something . I'm nit making that up .

The system is designed to make you give up and die ,or just one of those things . Then we're told to feel sorry for Cameron and brown..
    I'll leave it there

Sorry to read UC are mucking you about.
Bringing your appointment forward 6 months is a pain as is their inability to give you a straight answer about which group you are in.
The whole UC system is inhumane.
I hope you are able to get some answers soon.

What's annoying ( among other things ), is that they are going against doctors advice . Not only from Mrs doctor , but mr specialist in st Thomas 's hsp. Plus "any job" . My initial and correct reaction is f@@k them ! However there is one thing I must be proactive about , and that is the fact that it could lead to meeting people . Probably worse than vermin according to their attitude , but I may be surprised.

There are a couple of small positives today . One being that the property mgt co have decided to send all tenants in my block a reminder to close the communal door.
The other , the mgt co are sending the gardeners next thurs to trim bushes from front windows which have been growing quite rapidly over the last few weeks .

Hi AC, you will have to appeal if UC make any dodgy decisions. It sounds like a full time job dealing with UC.

It is all about the small positives so well done on getting the letters sent to everyone in the building and getting the gardening done :)

    Have a good day.

    Thanks DIA .
You're right about the time consuming and appealing alone . The assessor never mentioned my ltd capability for work which is what the benefit is for . I'm trying to see if I'm capable of doing ltd hours like 8- 11 am for example . Then I have to see where these magical jobs are located etc. As I don't drive that is another thing . Hopefully the chap from my aware will get back to me soon and hopefully give me some reassurance . My heart has been racing even when I'm in bed .
Still , many people are dead by my age anyway . I am considering quitting universal credit but I'll wait till I speak to the chap from my aware .
Lots going on , but I still have a couple of survival options left .
  • Spoke to the chap from my aware this evening .
He told me to do the following , which I did in my universal credit diary : 1) ask them reason I was declined ltd capability to work
    2) ask them for a mandatory reconsideration form 3) fill that in and send off special delivery 4) go to the court and appeal in person .

I've done1&2 . Those are the first stages . When doing 2 , I must provide further evidence . This ecg situation of course will be added.
3&4 follow . After all of that , I will probably fail anyway .
It's a full time job in itself . I will probably go to see a doctor on short notice next week , if my situation stays as is . So there you have it .

Away from that , I had another text from James . He will be visiting me on sat to hopefully sort out the remains small jobs to be done. Hopefully not too expensive .
    That's it for now ...
  • This morning I have had the gardeners trimming the bushes around 8.30 am . Could have been a more thorough job, but then again with the cold weather setting in , I can't see them growing too much over the next few months . Looks tidier anyway .

I received a swift reply from universal credit . They want further evidence regarding my mandatory reconsideration request . They want it by 4th Nov . I actually had 2 entries on my journal ..the blunt unpersonalised one and a response from my job coach informing me that the form is done electronically by her and I can bring the further evidence when I see her on my appointment on 16 Oct . I replied telling her that I will liaise with her once I'm ready to proceed with that . The annoying and frustrating part is that I have to find this further evidence . How ? Well I will see mrs doctor and hopefully she can help with a letter. Or, I could try to make an appointment with another doctor that is available and hope that they can help.
The other thing I have been doings, is making notes against the report and challenge what is written . I'm not sure if citizens advice do a face to face in my area any more , but if they do then that is an option also. All for nothing .
At the end of the day I'm not refusing work , but if they want to tick boxes they should help me get the hours that are best for me and not just " any job " where it's a mismatch from the start . Probably the best outcome is if I can get a few hours a week and still have universal credit .

Thankfully when I moved into this flat , rather than go through the money and not touch the bathroom or kitchen etc , I did the right thing by making it a home from the start . The only good thing about my situation now is that I don't have to look at a depressing kitchen and bathroom thinking how I'm gonna raise the cash for that in my current predicament .
My immediate problem other than the above , is to find out if I can transfer some money that I put into a sipp without being accused of fraudulent activity . Hopefully I'm over worrying there .
A can of worms ? I'm dealing with a crock of s**t at the moment anyway .
    Have a good day ..

    Hi AC :)

You are doing well with UC at the moment. You are keeping going and doing whatever is asked of you and that is all you can do. Get lots of advice and yes, a good idea to see if the CAB do face to face.

A few hours a week working might be a good thing if you can manage it. A good way of meeting new people too?

Would posting about the SIPP on the benefits or pensions bit of the forum help with your SIPP question?

It all sounds a bit stressful so take it easy and do something nice for yourself to balance out all the UC nonsense.
