TBH I'm not feeling lonely , and am someone who enjoys my own company . I do think it is harder to make new friends as you get older , but of course I could be wrong .
I have been looking at joining a walking club , or even a band . Will probably do both , although I'm apprehensive about it .
Yes I have been here a long time , but I'm still trying to adjust with this condition. I get tired in the evenings and I'm still trying to adjust health wise. I do have to get my finger out also as you have mentioned . Because of my weight and size , my confidence is shot and I am still picking up the pieces, if that makes any sense .

Of course I am more down than up over the last couple of days , but that is human nature . It shouldn't take too long to bounce back .
I have made the big move ,and am wondering what next . It may take another or possibly more to settle . The universal credit system could be a decision maker . If I could guarantee that I am employable in a daily pattern that would help. I only need part time , but obviously not nights or weekends . I'll leave that there for now .

I made a call to my aware , and a nice lady has scheduled me to get a call from their benefits section . It'll probably be today or Monday that I get to speak to the person there . It could be up to 4 working days .

I received a text this morning just before getting out of bed . It was James . He was full of apologies and wants to come here next Saturday . I paused before replying , and said that's fine .
I was on the verge of looking for someone else and getting the tap or bits myself . If he delivers then that's a good thing I guess. I gave him a lot of jobs and looked after him , not moaning about his excuses . Hopefully everything will be sorted out next sat and that if I need him in the future , he'll be there for me . We all know that a decent tradesperson is hard to find ..
  • Good news about James (but I do think he owes you anyway). You are right good tradesmen are hard to find so it will be good to keep him as long as he treats you ok.

I am like you and I love my own company. I am happiest reading, pottering and doing my own thing! But just because you like something I've learnt it doesn't mean it is good for you all the time. So, I do try and socialise on a regular basis even when I don't feel like it. Mostly I find when I do I am glad I did.

A walking club or a band sounds like a great idea! I have been talking about a walking club forever. I will join one in the next few months.

    Have a relaxing weekend

  • When I moved to London in my early twenties (many years ago), I joined a group I think it was around a tenner a month and it was for singles although it wasn't to find a partner it was more about going out and meeting people socially. They posted you a newsletter once a month which detailed all the outings. For instance visiting an art gallery, going to the theatre/cinema, walking in a park. It was great and I found myself doing things I would never normally have done. Might be worth seeing if there is something like that in the area?

  • Hope your mood is better soon. I do still read but haven't posted for a while. I suppose because felt I had nothing to contribute.

It was really just a comment about you saying you cant work weekends. Are you able to give them a good reason for that? You could explain nights as you get tired I understand.

Well, a couple of things to mention .
First of all , I had to send an email to the managing agents . Reason ?
The communal door is always open these days leaving the draught coming in , and huge spiders . Right or wrong I've asked for a sign to be put up ,and possibly a general memo sent reminding of change in weather etc . In the meantime , I will do print off a note and attach it to the door .

Saw mr trainer today . Good session again in his new gym. However , during the session he asked me to change the date of the standing order I have with him . Fair enough . During the afternoon I got an email which stated new terms and conditions . The date payable is changed and the date of the standing order is 1st Oct ( tomorrow ).
Not only that , but the monthly fee has gone up £35 !
I believe he hasn't thought it through , so I sent a very polite email thanking him and wishing him well in his new gym .
Talk about life being crap right now .
Anyway , ecg tomorrow and time to sort out my life again within 6 months . Not feeling down . Just peed off, but this will pass .
    Enjoy your week...

I notice spider spray is out of stock everywhere at the moment

Just had a text from mr trainer . He apologised and wants the date changed to the 12th on the standing order. Price is still the same and he has all faith in me. As I was typing this I got another text telling me I'm doing great . Fair play .
  • Just back from the surgery , regarding my ecg. There is an irregular pulse. The nurse had a chat with a doctor , and was told that I should make an appointment with Mrs doctor who I normally see.
So I now have a follow up appointment in the middle of this month .
I have stopped coffee for over a week . Normally ,it's just a mug of black coffee with my breakfast . I since turned to camomile tea, which is said to be very calming . No milk . The thing is, I've notice that when I take either of these , the pulse does get affected .
So tomorrow , I'm thinking of an alternative . I've stopped scrambled eggs since Friday just incase it blocks up my system .
I find it all quite puzzling tbh .
I had another good talk with mr. Trainer and he assures me that I am fit . He says that I always give 8-10 in performance without fail and am fitter than many ordinary gym goers. I'm not gonna argue , as I've noticed footballers and rugby players have heart problems when they are as fit as a fiddle . So that's that .

I got the assessment report from universal credit and having just read it , I'm looking at all the facts . I will give the chap at my aware a call and hopefully he can help me with an appeal .
It's a strange situation that I'm in . I only require part time work , but my hours are limited. As the hourly rate for unskilled work is crap , then I have to workout the best solution , or should I say the job coach should do that . Should .

    Nice rainy day ..
  • Sorry to hear about the irregular heart beat. Try not to worry. It may not be anything to do with what you coffee or eggs. Just keep exercising, getting good sleep and eating healthily. The doctor's will get to the bottom of it.

I hope you get support with your appeal.

You'll get there AC just keep going :)

  • Thanks DIA .
I just went on the my aware website . When I spoke to the chap regarding benefits on Friday he was on loudspeaker and sounded like he was eating crisps . A bit off putting and in doing so, I kind of asked universal credit the wrong type of question . I repeated the question in the universal credit journal just now . I asked am I in a support group , or a work related activity group?
I also asked am I being kicked off universal credit . The answer to that is no, but I have go to appointments etc as requested by the job coach. My next appointment for 31 March 2020 still stands . For now.

I will contact my aware when the above question is answered and then contact my aware for guidance . I could contact them now, as I have my assessment to discuss .

Life is like planning a military operation these days ..
