Well..
on Saturday had a few ciders. Sunday , very ill. However, I had to pay my friend a visit . The. fresh air ,and watery coffee helped.
surely 1and a half teaspoons of coffee is better than 1.
Yesterday , I saw the gym instructor. We spent the whole session getting me stripped, having awful pictures of me and discussing the best way forward. Surprisingly, I have not been put down and am still alive. That's the depressing stuff taken care of till mid April.
Hopefully, I can improve things by then.He is giving me an extra
half hour tomorrow, to compensate for little exercise yesterday.
I did a few things,so an informative and shorter exercise day is still good.
Last week, my local friend saw a part time job advertised.
I had to get him to. print off application form ,and tidy up cv as my new printer/scanner is too advanced for my ageing mac mini.
my new imac has no cd slot.
The pdf was a p i t a to fill out , but it has all been sent off this morning. I expect nothing. I will send my cv to agencies in the next few days.
The flat has been a bombsite for a few days. Now it's just the main bedroom that is a state. James did leave one or two jobs, such as fitting ladder / iron into kitchen cupboard. The flat has been smelling of white spirit since Friday. Washing clothes in the kitchen is changing it into a lovely smell of fresh linen.0 -
Good luck with the part time job hunting.
The AC makeover seems to be going well with the exercise
I cannot bear the disruption caused by building work and as we have a new baby granddaughter arriving within the next month I certainly am avoiding any DIY or building jobs. At some point we want a new kitchen as ours is now 20 years old but it still looks ok as it was a good one to start with. We have something called a composite worktop which will take any punishment you can give it. Hot saucepans, bleach etc etc and it still looks good. It was expensive though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Thanks enthusiastic.. A long way to go still. Yes, building work= inconvenience. Quality kitchens last ,as you're finding out .
One of the flats in my block has gone up for sale yesterday .still awaiting the information on the estate agents website. Interesting to see what the sellers kitchen looks like. Also how much is the asking price .0 -
Thought I'd swing by your diary at 11.38pm like some stalking weirdo :-)
Good luck with the application for PT work. My fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you. Keep us updated .

Tbh , I’ ve just started to look so it’ll be a while before something comes up. It’ll keep people quiet for a while knowing I’ve started looking anyway . Off to the gym for an extra session with the instructor. Don’t fancy it . The rain is not helping . Getting there0 -
Back from the gym . Mr. Trainer trained me hard. He gave me supersets in a shorter time . Didn't fancy it , but glad I did it.
He is impressed with my effort and determination etc and that's wha counts.
So, onto james and the kitchen . One thing has to be mentioned before I mention the final total as it were . After doing the bathroom , he put new worktops , sink and taps in there . The new Lino was done with the carpet all in , from the firm he recommended . He did put ironing board in the spare cupboard where the boiler once was .
That door has now been changed and ironing board is else where. Another story . One other thing to mention is that howdens missed a few items when they gave him the original quote . James offered to take the hit from that, but we came to a compromise and the quote was £300 more instead of £600 more . He took into account also the days when he showed up late & finished early .
Having explained all of that , my bill for the new kitchen totals
£2,960.92 . I am happy with that , and the kitchen is amazing .
I feel lucky that I found him , and I'm sure he'll be there for me if I need him for anything in the future .
Feeling tired today . Will have a go at tidying my bedroom later.
Then again , Easter is around the corner:rotfl:0 -
All sounding fantastic - The good thing about Easter could be chocolate and no cooking!! but Mr Trainer would no doubt make you pay by getting you to do more of those "supersets" :-(
All sounding positive though :-) Keep it up.

Still have a long way to go . I'll keep persisting .
Just paid the outstanding balance to James. It meant going to nationwide in poole again . Didn't fancy ashley road after last weeks experience. One thing that annoys me now : due to cashpoints and online banking , we have bouncers make &female asking us if they can help us and try to keep us away from seeing counter staff.
The customer needs more than one answer to stop these bouncers persistently going on. I do wonder if they have been told to foff when the customer has had enough. Anyway, job done .
I didn't feel great today . Not sleeping that great these last few nights
I Understand partially that as I'm not working , I am resting a bit more. I love the mattress and the topper and mattress protector I got a few months ago . I was wondering if the actual bed could be part of the problem. There is no headboard as such . A trendy design .kingsize. Maybe it's the pillows, although I got new ones a few months ago . Being heavier over the years, I'm not sure.
Still, I went out and conquered the rain and have all the time to conquer the mess in the flat . Having said that it's much better than last week .0 -
I didn't know what supersets were so I looked it up. Wish I hadn't. Off for a lie down nowA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Last night my boiler packed up. :mad:Annoying really as I was gonna get it serviced and call the gas company who I dealt with last year anyway. The reasons why I didn't call them sooner was because of the mess everywhere from the new kitchen . Plus of course the multiple call outs they must've got in the real freezing conditions a couple of weeks ago. I want to use the same firm as I saw last year. In March last year, I was almost gonna pull out of the purchase of this flat because of the boiler location. Also because of the electrics. The chap I saw was a nice guy ,and the company made the effort to see me as I was looking for a reputable gas co. Hopefully , they're not too busy, and can see me at Tuesday at the latest.
I sent gym instructor a message asking to reschedule Mondays session just incase I get a call and hopefully a visit .
Today is March 31st . This means I got the keys to the flat one year ago today .0
