:rotfl: Gluten free foods are much more expensive but not quite that much more expensive ;) 4 pizzas and a loaf would have been £23 though

Oh thank goodness!! Sorry I misread that. I thought it was some super duper artisan seedy as heck bread. :rotfl:

I’ve racked up another NSD, which puts me up to 5 now. :T Thanks again to Fae for the mind shift. I think I'll be able to get to Saturday without buying anything else. Fingers crossed.

  • I'm going to declare at £44.31 for the month. I'm very happy with that, I think not buying plastic has helped keep it low, I did without so much stuff, though I didn't miss most of it, except Free From Salad Cream n Vegenaise, plus I had a large supply of loo rolls. I'm not expecting to be buying anything else, but if I do, I will take it out of the bulk fund. The £35.69 remaining from this month, will be put into the bulk fund. Have a lovely up-coming weekend everyone - see you over in February if/when it's up.

    Hi all!

    Doing my weekly update:

    - £3.89 on graze box
    - £24.20 at Home Bargains
    - £46.58 at Tesco

Brings total so far to £547.85 with a small shop today at Home Bargains while I went in to collect some storage boxes! Not worked that out yet! I will have a fruit and veg box tomorrow for £15 and since tomorrow is my normal shopping day too I don't think I will come in under budget this month!

Still getting to grips with what and where we spend so not not that surprised for my first month! Most months where we have a bulk meat and/or wine delivery are probably likely to be over budget but hopefully I can stay under on the other months and keep my main aim of the annual budget under control!

Found one small money saver this week - I swapped our normal Jacobs crackers to Tesco own for half the price and kids didn't notice so I will continue with that! Every little helps! :j

Will do final update next week at the end of the month x

So far its £38.62/£40 for me. I need 4 pints of milk, so if I can get away without buying anything else until Thursday (just about doable) I shall have met the challenge this month. 9/25 NSDs so far.

I am ashamed to say that £10 of this spend was on junk food: crisps, biscuits, chocolates. I would like to think it will last me for at least 3 months, but I know it won't :o

  • Today is the last day of my January budget, my total is £483.60/£500 so happy with that. I'm going to try and reduce my budget for the next month, not sure how realistic it would be to drop too much, so might try and keep it under £475..plus it will include half term week and my husbands birthday which will make the month more expensive....

I love reading everyone's updates on here as it has kept me motivated - thanks :)
