5.36 spent so up to 86.23
Won't be too much over the £90. Interesting to do the challenge as I know we need a bit more each week but needs must. Keeping the receipt helps though. The cupboards were not well stocked when I started so I've needed to buy loo roll, dog food and some dear stuff. If I can catch up I might manage much better. An unexpected plus side to menu planning is hubby get stuff out ready to cook if he gets in first. WahooJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Last weekend's shopping was £27.40 in Aldi and £28.06 in Asda. I'm off work this week so I've not had to factor in portable food for breakfast and lunches. In fact I eat less when I'm not working - I think I comfort and boredom eat at work!:rotfl:
I've still got a full freezer and cupboards - I find it hard to break the zombie apocalypse stock piling mentality. For instance, I panic if I find I have less than 6 tins of tomatoes in the cupboard - seriously, you never know when you find you HAVE to make a huge batch of pasta sauce!

Fae, believe it or not, you just helped me decide to skip going to Lidl tonight to get chopped canned tomatoes that are on sale. I have one left in the cupboard and both vegetarian and meat lasagnas in the freezer ready to heat up. I was going to buy more chopped tomatoes so I could make sauce but screw it, the purchase can wait for another month or so. We have enough tomatoey things in the house already. If I really wanted to do so, I could just make a small batch of sauce with the last can of tomatoes.
Earlier this morning I was looking for reasons to not go to Lidl this week to "stock up" on a few other things. Between that mental exercise and reading your post Fae, I decided to not go. Thank you very much for your help.

Have had a rough couple of days with knee pain so ended up buying some YS treats to go with dinner and some ys bits to freeze so that's £7.11 today so a total of £106.42/190.
We should hopefully be completing on a house next month, so won't be within easy walking distance to get ys food once we move in march so will be a challenge the next two months to keep to the budget and not spend on takeaway either.0 -
Afternoon all - calling it as yesterday with £75.27 spent, that means £64.73 under. Very happy but i know that it has been a fluke as we had lots to use up after christmas and new year.

We could have come in lower but there has been a few extras bought including 4 ys GF pizzas and a GF loaf that I picked up last night for a fiver at the co-op which should have cost about £23! That has to be the best ys haul I have ever hadSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
