Just wasted over an hour attempting to get anywhere with Sainsbobs online order.. Said I had out of date coupon attached.. Tried to clear.. Nope.. Tried the wallet.. Nope.. Tried to get chat help.. Nope.. Waaaah.. Deleted the whole trolley in a rage
Sulked, stropped and decided we can all go without! Humph.. Not a happy bunny..

There's a really good ocado offer in the meeting newsletter, free delivery and £25 worth of fresh food free.
I recommend ocado, very rarely out of stock and very rarely substitutions.
I use the app and buy the bargains.

Is that £50 for meat and £50 for groceries, or £50 for those together, PipneyJane?

£50 for everything, meat and groceries together. It takes a bit of planning, but it is do-able.

£18.28 in Mr A... I’m awful for shopping when hubby is off work...
Hopefully that’s it though for the month. I did buy toothpaste and toilet roll though but I include my toiletries and cleaning in my grocery budget.

I’ve meal planned the next week and have a LOT in so I’m on a supermarket ban!

    Dinners for the rest of the month are;

    Tues; fajitas
Wed: homemade tuna fish cakes with beans and sweetcorn
Thurs; homemade chicken korma with homemade bhaji’s and gram flour flatbreads.
    Friday; Spaghetti and meatballs
Saturday; sausage, mash, cabbage and gravy
    Sunday; Roast chicken
    Monday; leftover chicken chow mein
    Tuesday; frittata
We’d; Jacket potatoes with beans and cheese or tuna mayo and salad.

  • Spent £20.07 in L1dl yesterday. Fruit, salad, veg, butter, cheese, cottage cheese, uht milk, eggs, baked beans and cereals. Did put a few more items into the trolley but then put them back on the shelves, staying focused, stick to the plan!!!

£8 over the past 3 days, leaving me with £31.57. Temperamental tummy yesterday afternoon _pale_ , so couldn't face either cooking, shopping for preparing a packed lunch or anything to do with food, in fact. :(

  • Hi all,

Nsd today as won't be leaving the house. Food plans for today: breakfast- ds had cereal and dd had brioche. Me - nothing. Lunch - children will have packed lunches and I will have minestrone soup my mum brought up for me. Dinner - not sure yet, needs to be easy as I'm still not completely well.

Still at £54 for the month, which as of today makes about £2.35 per day soo far this month. That's for 3 people, so very happy with that.

Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100

  • I've been another with evil colds on and off for the last 6 weeks, I just start to feel better and I come down with ANOTHER stinker. all I seem to have done for the last month is work (dodgy sick-pay policy) and rest up in bed, still it's stopped me spending so much.
last week I spent £21.14 in Lidl which has left me just under £26 for this weeks shop. it'll be the last of the month and if I manage it i'll have spent £30 less than January last year.
