hi everyone,
well I went out for an unplanned lunch with friends today. however I had vouchers for restaurant so didn't spend cash.
Luckily the meal I had planned for today will keep until tomorrow so no waste and my meal plan will be adjusted to suit.
just read post from lil_me and I must say I am also drinking water this month. Bought one bottle of squash this month and no fizzy drinks etc. Certainly has an impact on spending.0 -
Evening all
Spends today of £26.89 in Mr Al*i
Prices are now noticeably rising eh. Butter now £1.45, milk now 96p, H*vis now 1.05, single cream now 85p to name a few. Pears have gone up in price and down from 7 in pack to 5.
Think we're soon going to be living on porridge, bananas, eggs and potatoes :rotfl:
Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

£92 left last week. Less than I thought. Didn't need much for the weekend but spent £14 in Aldi on milk, bread, cheese, ham and some veg and salad and a further £12 in Morrisons on frozen sweetcorn, Mexican dips and wraps. (And chocolate)
£92 - £26 = £660 -

I always leave the skin on when roasting potatoes as I don't have the energy for peeling and it's not a job anyone else really likes :rotfl:There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

Apparently they’re honouring them though so got £20 off £40, stocked up on washing bits, chicken and mince and gammon, more cat food!
Will update sig when that arrives but that’s looking like I’ll manage the month under £200 now!
Roast Chicken with all the trimmings for dinner which I’m really looking forward too, I’m so hungry today.... maybe the cold weather....
Scrap that. Order cancelled. Bit annoyed as lots of other people have got their orders....

Decided to use Asda on Friday instead of Aldi as I am trying to get back on to SW and they had Muller lites at 12 for £3 including a new peanut and caramel flavour that is 'free' that I wanted to try.
Total now stands at £169.46/£240 which is the lowest amount I can remember spending everHelped by a full freezer. Even though I have bought a truck load of fruit and cooked meat for SW we are not drinking in Jan and I have stopped buying crisps and it has saved us a lot.
Meal Plan this week:
M - SW veggie pasties with mushy peas and SW chips
T - Sweet chilli chicken stir fry with rice noodles
W - Build up Bagels (Protein meal for after PT session)
Th - Sausages, chips and beans (easy meal for late night)
F - Pasta with chicken sausage meatballs (I have 29 chicken sausages in the freezer:eek:)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Hi all,
I used to be in the grocery challenges 4 years ago! I got caught up with life and stayed off the forums but I have a new years resolution to get back into them!
I have 2 children now and we have fairly expensive tastes in general so I do want to cut down dramatically so I think this year I am going to be realistic and not over stretch myself and get back into the habit of tracking everything and then look more into saving later in the year!
Please can I be added to the challenge for £600 a month. This includes all food (including fruit & veg & meat deliveries), drink (including wine deliveries), household goods, toiletries, pets and graze boxes. I can then look at these areas separately to see how I can reduce them in the future.
