Here you go Rocket. From the man himself. He used to have a cafe in keswick, have spent many many hours in there. Not so much now he's not based in Keswick any more.

That recipe looks gawjus! I love the pork pies they do there; nowt better than chomping on one driving through the Lakes :).

Picked up some YS peppers last night, and was lucky enough to see the chap putting the labels on the veggies. He knocked the peppers down from 65p to 5p, and let me know that they tend to do the reductions around 7:00pm, so all good advice for next time. Also sold the cat's old bed which she has literally never used for a tenner, so dropped that off tonight & picked up some beer money there

I mentioned all this talk to DH of Gloucester services as he's been away with work over that way - yesterday I get a phone call saying he was there and the food looked delicious! He'll have to take me another time and we'll definitely be making a point of visiting Westmorland next time we're up that way!

Good win on the YS stuff Blibble!

The food 'looked' delicious? You mean he didn't partake? Wasted opportunity.

What have I started here?! :rotfl: DH didn't partake because he's very :money: and his meals were being paid for by work - he certainly wanted to! He blames me for my MFW strictures about food budgets and unnecessary spending!:rotfl:

We will go there next time we're passing, promise! :D

Any chance they have a recipe for a no-bake cheesecake? We made one last night as we were entertaining some old university friends, and it was like melted ice cream. :D

Been a lovely weekend so far, and the weather's taken a turn for the better which is putting us both in a good mood. We're off to a wedding fair this afternoon as it's just up the road. And it's pay day on Wednesday. Woop woop!
