  • GTQ that’s such a good thing to be involved in, I was reading over the summer holidays how young children are at risk of going hungry as they weren’t having hot school meals, so sad. It really is unbelievable that it is like this in this country in this day and age.

Well DS1 started school on Monday and I have to say I wasn’t the emotional mess I thought I would be! However it is creeping up on me as the reality hits that he is going in every day. Last night I felt a bit sad and wanted to keep him home with me today, but alas that is not the way of things anymore. :o He seems to be having a good time though and we’ve had no issues getting him ready and getting him there so far and that’s the most important thing. It also means I get to spend quality time with DS2 now, something he hasn’t had much of so that’s nice. Although he’s pretty much walking unaided now so he’s a right cheeky monkey, won’t sit still for a minute and into everything! :p

I’m still not getting much done on the Christmas front, there’s so much I still can’t buy this far in advance!

I forget to do the Thanks button, sorry,I will try harder!

GTQ I think you have all bases covered with your collections. All I can think of is crisps.Maybe that part baked bread.

PK well done on a smooth transition into school.

Sent Mr V off to our Tesco but choc oranges were £2 there.I have questioned price differences before with the manager and was told,it's our demographic, alleged richer area so we will pay higher prices for the same goods. Our store does not stock any basics ranges etc.

Nearest other Tesco and B&M about 15 miles away so will wait till weekend.

Going to a funeral tomorrow,my Godfather.

    Vx

  • Vulpix the chocolate oranges show online at £2 at tesco and were £2 in my local one last week too so I wouldn't make a special trip for them (maybe some stores are £1 I don't know) Sure the offers will start appearing soon.

Ohhhh pavlovs thanks for that. Must go and have a mooch.

I see Zoella has bowed out of the Advent celendar range this year :rotfl: (that said they'll prob roll out all of last years excess stock)

Is the Christmas range in store yet? Noticed online is says 3 for 2 gifts online only - wonder if this is a change of strategy or just that gifts aren't in store yet. Surely they wouldn't drop the 3 for 2 offer in store?

How odd about the chocolate oranges! Mine is an express store and are definitely £1 at the moment!

We’ve got a Tesco Express so ours might be £1 - unfortunately I don’t like chocolate and orange together.

Lovely to see posts ramping up now and knowing everyone is bargain spotting, it’s making me feel really festive.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Kerri I would think it is probably showing as online only until they have stocked stores. I noticed a lot also said stock unavailable or coming soon too

may well be wrong but I thought I read the boots xmas 3 for 2 was in store starting oct 1st which I thought was really late

Picked up the llama & sloth xmas fleece from matalan I've been after but has been oos so that's 1 thing off my dec 1st hamper list. They have some really nice stuff but some of it is a bit pricey so I'm waiting to see if they have any offers on. last year they did 3 for 2 and money off spend voucher promo's so hopefully they'll do similar again this year.
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

I thought some of it was a bit pricey too when I popped in at the weekend. Will prob vary some present buying locations next year as some of the kids are getting older so scouting out the ranges atm
