Good Morning all,
I hope everybody is doing well. We are still house hunting and de cluttering all the important stuff(junk lol) at the moment. Keep thinking about how amazing Christmas in a new home will be! We want a bigger house so that means a bigger tree and hopefully the ability to decorate the house with lights. I am still doing keto, 3 weeks today, and am currently at 18lbs lost. It is very good for my body and I am finding it very good as I am not hungry as it is high protein and no sugars so your blood sugars are stable. Thanks for all the comments about the house sale, buyer coming again tonight to have a good look round and take measurements.
Peppa- Plenty of time for Christmas, enjoy your garden as it does bring you such joy. I too miss the sunshine.
Free- Glad to hear the mammogram went ok.
TreasureQueen- Glad you have got somebody fighting your corner for you but Im sorry that your situation is still continuing. To be made to feel that you are making it up is awful. Please stay strong and we are all here if you need a chat. Praying that your situation resolves quickly x
Princesskitty29-Hope you had an amazing birthday x
Hope everybody else is doing ok. Murie, MrsI,Vulpix, how are you all?0 -

Completely misread that and was thinking that an avacado would be as much use as a chocolate teapot for you:o:rotfl:
Seriously though, glad you have someone fighting your corner with you.
Isn't this weather miserable, just want to hibernate:(A smile costs little but creates much0 -
GTQ- It is freezing, I need some Vitamin D, come on out sunshine we have missed you xx0

Lordy, this weather! we've had everything except pink snow! and l expect that by bedtime! Got DGN today, she is out of sorts with a cold, needs lots of snuggles and stories. She's napping at the mo. so ssshhhhh.
Treasure Queen, glad you have an advocate to keep the council in order. Hope they can get this sorted out and stopped.
Well done house sale, mine was the same, no interest when it was tidy, but the day it sold it was like a padding can.
Free, glad the mammogram didn't cause upset for you. hope everything else is working out too.
Nothing Christmassy this week, but l remembered l had put some 'stuff' in a basket. Cant find the basket, cant remember exactly what the 'stuff' was, so l 'd best try harder to find it. DGN is up and awake so off l go. xx0 -
Morning all,
The sunshine is very deceiving, it looks glorious but it is still very cold. Ah well at least the sun is out.
I am on admin and de-clutter day today. Buyer visited again last night and they are very keen to complete quickly.
My foot is doing a lot better, if I don't stand on it for long periods of time. Hoping to be back in work very soon, so trying to get everything I can done before I am back on the workers wheel of not enough hours in the day. Plans are to do some batch cooking also( will see how that goes, best plans and all that) Looking forward to packing my Christmas stash as I get to write a new list with all the items on. Looking forward to finding items I had lost, a bit like you Mrs I. I always put them in a "safe Place" and can never rememer what I did with them. One year I lost a full bag of special family cards that I had bought from the Card factory. :rotfl: I need to get a new Christmas journal/notepad for this year. I love writing lists, ticking off the to dos is so satisfying.0 -
Thank you all for your birthday wishes, I had a lovely low-key day. Started with croissants in bed, then Wiggle opened my cards and presents, then went out for brunch with DH, then took the boys swimming, came home and was presented with two birthday cakes, then had a lovely long relaxing bath, did tea and put the boys to bed then sat on the sofa and had a little pig out on some of my favourite foods! So no big events but it was just a lovely day and the boys were really well behaved which was nice.
Jakes-mum oh that’s sweet, it’s nice to have memories like that. I’m a bit like that with Santa Claus the Movie, I was given that on video when I was little and now it is a must watch every year! Wiggle was given The Snowman book for his first Christmas and he regularly wants us to read it at bedtime throughout the year! Good luck with Slimfast, these things are never easy but I’m rooting for you!
04624181 that’s great news about getting the asking price for your house! Congrats! I hope you can find something you love soon. I think sometimes it’s good for people to see a house as a proper home. Glad to hear the keto diet is going well and that you are feeling better for it and very glad to hear your foot is feeling a bit better!
Peppapig it is lovely to be able to look out at a garden, it’s very calming. Or not calming depending on what state it’s in! Like our grass desperately needs cutting at the moment…:p
freespirit I’m glad to hear everything went well with the mammogram, these things are so important.
Treasurequeen I don’t know exactly what’s going on but I’m so sorry to hear you’re still having a lot of trouble, I’m glad to hear you have an advocate in your corner and I hope that it will help get through to the council. Fab bargain with the necklace and I do love to make a food hamper for people.0 -
Good Morning all,
Raining here so its going to be a day of de cluttering again. My friend is cominh this afternoon so we may nip to the shops. I have not been in home barga*ns since before Christmas! Im starting to get withdrawal symptoms lol. I have just ordered a lined Christmas notebook for £3.99 from Amazon to be my Christmas Organiser this year. Will make a note of what I have got stashed and then start to put money away when I get back into work. My DD is 8 in a couple of weeks so I think this may be the last Christmas of the magical belief in Father Christmas so I want to make the most of it x
I weighed in again today, another 3lb off. That is 21lb off in 3 weeks and 2 days. So so happy! Would highly recommend keto.
Thought I would ask everyone a couple of Christmas related questions for fun.
1) What is the one decoration you could never give up?
2) If you could only listen to one Christmas song on repeat which would it be?
My answers are
1) A clip on Santa decoration. My brother cut a picture of my dad out and stuck his face onto the clip on santa. Every year he is put on the christmas tree and its over 30 years old.
2) Religious Carol would be - Noel by Chris Tomlin and Laura Daigle
Non religious would be - Mariah Carey All I want for Christmas
PrincessKitty29- Sounds like you had a wonderful birthday. My idea of perfect!0 -
Free - glad your mammogram went well
Treasure Queen - i'm so sorry, I cannot remember what your problems were but i'm glad you have someone fighting your corner and hope you get the result you need.
Peppa - i hope you are enjoying your garden even if the weather is not playing ball!
04624181 - I too hope the sun makes an appearance too, i've been put on vitamin D supplements my reading was so diabolical last blood testI do NOT like tablets, I hope your foot heals quickly
Well done on your house sale!
Princesskitty - Happy belated birthday! you sound like you had a lovely dayWe always have 2 cakes as DS is coeliac and says as he can't have a normal cake he should get an entire GF cake to himself to make up for it :rotfl: Unofrtunately slimfast is not going so well, a mix of going through a bad health period sticking me in this darn chair again, and the looming 'ladies problems' means a gain this week
DH on the other hand . . . nearly half a stone!
04624181 - Ooo answers to your questions:
1) I'm afraid I have to have 3
My Tree angel, she took me over 5 years to find, I wanted a traditional tree topper with proper legs (not that cone thing under the dress that suddenly became fashionable). After years of searching everywhere I finally found a lady on ebay who handmade the clothes, she's beautiful and has her own special box nestled in tinsel
The other 2 are the two pinecones my children made in their first year at nursery when they were (DS) 14 months and (DD) 22 Months. They are so sentimental to me that I would be devastated if anything happen to them (they also have a special box to keep them safe lol.
2) My all time favourite christmas song (and the one that is constantly on repeat in my car from september) is 'A spaceman came travelling'. I love that song and would happily listen to it everyday
Soooo not good news in the JM householdSeems my 'health Assessor' for PIP likes to make stuff up, there was things on there that we didn't even discuss, things she exagerated, things she omited completely . . she even completely dismissed my ME/CFS despite having a GP, ME specialist and Rheumy backing saying 'I didnt look fatigued'. Madatory Reconsideration has been posted today arguing each point. I had already rang and I was so upset and angry I cried down the phone at the poor woman who answered
Downside is that this is all having a terrible affect on my health and i'm in so much pain and so tired I just want to cry. Dreading DH's letter falling on the mat and praying his doesn't land till after mine is sorted

JAKESMUM so sorry to hear about your assessment results. It sounds to me like she didn’t make proper notes and has had to infil with what she think she remembers. Glad you’ve lodged the appeal, hope all goes well. Unfortunately the people who do these assessments often don’t understand the impact of their actions.
0462 my choices would be:
1. Probably the robins that I bought about thirty years ago that were mauled by my kittens in their first year but have been on the tree every year since.
2. The song is tricky. My favourite carol is definitely O Holy Night so it would be that. For my non-carol it would probably be It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas. Of course I’ll probably think of quite a few others as soon as I’ve posted this. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
