Finally read all the posts !

The insurance have settled everything and all financial issues have completed , a 9 page formal complaint is on its way to the people she went with . I am sure their reply will be interesting to say the least .

My sister asked me to transport christmas pressies on the way home to my parents , they in turn have ours ready to pick up !!! they are never sorted before me i feel like such a let down:rotfl:

As well as going to The Kelpies we plan to go to the Falkirk wheel , i'm not brave enough to ride it i will be having a nice cuppa [don't do heights at all]

  • Wow what a lovely day, it turned out much warmer than I expected! Wiggle was given a blow up car paddling pool at the weekend, I told him yesterday that he’d be able to have it in the garden today but not with water as it wouldn’t be warm enough – well the water went straight in and he was splashing around having fun! I was also sat in the garden having a coffee instead of tidying my house which I really should have been doing!! :shhh:

04624181 Oh no what a nightmare, it’s so easy to take things like feet for granted isn’t it but if there’s something wrong it has such a big impact as they’re used all the time! I’m sorry you have to wait such a long time for your diagnosis, it must be so frustrating for you. You must feel the pressure about going back to work, I know I did when I was off with HG even though they weren’t making me feel that way, I just did as I was having a prolonged period off work. Just try to relax as much as you can. Bless your DD, never nice but it sounds like she was very mature about it.

CHRISSYG wow Christmas presents organised already?? That’s impressive! Although as part of this group I genuinely can’t believe you are so far behind. :p I’m not sure what happened with your DD but hope she’s ok.

Hello all - sorry, have been lurking again, trying to keep up with posts but not managing to post myself.

Have various house stuff going on atm plus got told by the mechanic last week that I need to start considering replacing my car - it's 14yrs old so has done well but even so, could do without the worry of that atm. It doesn't need to be done right away thank goodness, just a 'better start saving'

Trying to clear through some accumulated clutter but feel progress has stalled atm. Did manage to get the patio furniture out today though and sat out for a bit to eat dinner.

Princesskitty29 I bet Wiggle thoroughly enjoyed the paddling pool, it's been so cold for so long of late that I think you were very wise to sit out and enjoy the sun and finally defrost from winter.

So, nothing Christmassy happening here - in fact we still have one gift here for a family member, and DM has one from me and OH to an Aunt - its nearly May now which does make me question whether to really bother in future years - it just seems pointless if you don't see people for so long at a time.

She went to Kenya in January and fell resulting in her breaking her shin , she had to have it pinned and spent two weeks in hospital before her insurance sent out nurses to bring her home .

  • What another lovely day! Although I’ve forgotten how hot and bothered you can get when you don’t get a minute to sit down and the kids keep pestering you! :p It’s lovely to be able to just throw the doors open and get outside though. Wiggle is at pre-school today so in-between playing with Squeak I’m trying to clean and tidy my house, but despite the fact that all I do is tidy ALL DAY LONG I look around and NOWHERE is ever tidy! :wall: How??? I’m trying to relax about it while the children are young but it stresses me out all the time. DH is very good at doing things so I can’t complain but men don’t seem to see half the stuff women do, do they? :rotfl:

kerri oh Wiggle loved it! I know what you mean, by the time you give the present it feels like the moment has passed.

CHRISSYG Oh my goodness that’s awful! Poor thing, that must have been really tough for her and you, I bet you were worried sick! How did she cope with it?

She coped amazingly well , someone from the holiday company was with her but all in all that turned out not to be such a good thing. Although there were communication issues at one point the insurance did what they need to do . In the end they sent two nurses out to escort her home first class ( which she really enjoyed) then an ambulance met them at Heathrow and they brought her home .

First class and chauffeur driven home ;) though a rather extreme way to get upgraded.
Sorry, kidding aside I am glad she was able to enjoy first class but I bet she was overjoyed to be home (as I'm sure you were to have her back in Blighty)

Your poor daughter,Chrissy, so glad she is getting better.
2 lovely days together, wow, was that summer?. Spent time in the greenhouses again pricking out seedlings and potting on plants, then my neighbour asked if l had any rubbish to get rid of, as the skip he had had delivered was only part full. All the tubs and pots have now been emptied into it. (thank you, DGS). so hopefully, no more vine weevil. all the pots are scrubbed and jey@s fluid-ed, and l can start to fill them up.
no weight loss this week, probably due to the pizza, (cheese free) l had with DS2 and DGS last night. Ho- Hum, at least M&S make the next size up.
Now need to find a deal on an Amazon echo for DDs 40th birthday, so let the search begin.
  • CHRISSYG Well I’m glad the insurance did what they needed to do and brought her home, you must have been tearing your hair out. It sounds like she was very mature about the whole thing which must have been a relief for you. I’m glad she was brought back first class, at least there was a tiny silver lining to come out of it all, although of course it would have been better if it hadn’t happened in the first place! I hope she’s doing ok now.

mrsinvisible I wish I could hire you to do my garden – I can pay in cake! :D I have trouble keeping on top of my house so the poor garden doesn’t really get a look in! Luckily we’re in a new build so it’s just grass really, although I really should make an effort to get some pots going. I’ve just had some daffodils, tulips and hyacinth come out from the pots I potted last year, that’s my kind of gardening – do it once and they’ll keep coming back again! :rotfl:
  • Oooh I forgot to say I picked up The Snowman and Snowdog single duvet cover yesterday half price in Wilko, it was £8. I was pleased as Wiggle loves it and I did see it in the Wilko sale online in the new year but missed out at the time.
