I am having a right nightmare with online purchases this last month or so. They say it happens in threes so hopefully todays will be the last. Ordered a wooden engraved watched for other half's birthday. Taken a month to get here and when it arrived this morning, I opened it and the engraving is wrong! Argggghhhhhhh!:mad::mad:;
Now need to find a nicer replacement watch before his birthday next week.looks like i will be forgoing the engraving for now£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

Oh that's so disappointing, is there anywhere locally that can engrave another watch for you?
Have managed to find a pair of the trainers OH wants at a not quite so extortionate price, but, they are half a size bigger than he normally wears. However I have read some reviews suggesting people size up so I'm hoping they will be ok, the site also has a long returns policy and I'm really hoping the other size come back into stock so he can take his pick.
Did order him a jumper in TU 25% off today...sounds very dull I know.
Still haven't decided on the tree, will prob put it up and move the lamp upstairs for Xmas. Not sure whether to get the decs down next sat when we have nothing on, or the week after....except it's a really busy week that week and I have visions of CBA when it come round.
Oh, and picked up a roll of foil today...so another incidental off the list.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi all, remember me? Not been on for quite a long time. Have been reading but just couldn't get myself to write anything!
We're so close to December now but I'm not sure how Christmassy we'll be here. I'm having to temporarily move out of my bedroom into the smallest one because there might be something wrong structurally. A very damp corner which has attracted woodlice. So many woodlice! And question marks over why that one specific corner is so wet. Hopefully we can get a builder in and I'll be back in my freshly decorated room before Christmas. :undecided
So with all that going on (and countless viruses! I have another cold brewing) I'm quite behind on my present buying. Only have my 4 year old niece's presents done. Need to buy for my parents, sister, brother, his wife, and their other 2 kids. And I haven't finished wrapping my mum's advent calendar yet. I was so much more prepared last year! :rotfl:
Hope you can all pass on some of your festive spirit to me!“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Welcome back CLUMSY, stick around and you’ll be feeling festive before you know it.
Well, I got my garland in The Range after all so I’m happy although it was very dull in there, no Christmas music playing even though they’ve got a whole floor of Christmas decorations. DD and I went in there feeling all festive (had been singing to Heart Christmas on the car radio) and came out feeling quite flat. Apparently they have Christmas music in December but I’ll be finished by then. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

Fantastic! I'll have to grab mine:T

At work they are doing a Christmas appeal - we don't have to do it but we can buy presents for poorer children. We have different age brackets from 0 to 18 years, I was thinking about buying things for the teenagers. I feel like teenagers get left out and more people buy for the babies and young children, but teens need something to look forward too as well!!
If anyone has teenage children I would appreciate some ideas about what to buy! tia x0 -

My work have done this for a few years now for a local charity and I always try and get some teenage presents in my donation as I feel they are sometimes overlooked as more 'difficult' to buy for. I tend to get some of the smellies gift boxes from the supermarket when they are on offer (lynx, impulse etc) as they can be a gift and also useful if money is tight. I also usually include some selection boxes as they are generally welcome for any age!0 -
Anyone else up early today to get Kevin the carrot and co ? Dd loves him so obviously i had to go get him , i was in a queue at 7-30 this morning lol there were people there even before me ! I got her what she wanted so i'm currently the best mum in the world [won't last ] . Sad to see the incredible prices for them on Ebay though .
I have relented and bought a Christmas jumper not something i would normally do but a change in management at work has lifted the atmosphere so i think most people are going to join in the silliness , although the secret Santa has been cancelled as there were too many people moaning about it .
Hubby and Dd are putting the tree up while I'm away next week the chocs definitely won't make it to the branches .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have booked my mum, my gran and I onto my local residents Christmas themed afternoon tea at the flats. a FREE event meant to bring everyone together, we shall see. I have got a Christmas jumper I got in the sale and I will make some Christmas themed earrings to go with the jumper to wear to it.
All presents and cards bought now, just got to wrap them and write the cards.
me and my mum are doing christmas care packages in my local town for the homeless. i had some coupons for some free items for petsathome so i cashed them in and i am going to do a care package for homeless dogs too. We will deliver them nearer christmas when we go out and about.
with everything that i have been accused of this year (which wasnt true) i hope my actions will put a smile on someones face this christmas.
Hope everyone is doing ok

TREASUREQUEEN that’s a lovely idea thinking of the dogs and well done for booking onto the afternoon tea. Maybe if your neighbours get to know you they’ll see how badly they’re behaving and if they don’t you’ve still been the bigger person. Good for you. :beer:It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
