I am so pleased to hear it was an oversight Feburarycat. Shows why we shouldn't be quick to jump to conclusions.
Merry Christmas to you. :xmassign:0 -
Really pleased that they've got you a present.
And you have something to look forward to after the New Year.0 -
Mmmm, sounds like an excuse to me and I would suspect the presents have not been bought yet, even if the intention is there. Could they be in financial difficulties but not wanting you to know?0

It could be an excuse, but Im hoping it was genuine and they had forgot. No they not struggling for money, and I never expect them to spend a lot on me.0 -
If they knew you were coming yesterday and wouldn't see you again till January I'm guessing they didn't get you anything. How, when someone comes to see you just before Christmas and brings you presents can you 'forget' theirs? Did they know you were coming? Maybe if they didn't, they are disorganised like me and had planned to get it later for when they see you in January?
I wouldn't read too much into it. The important thing is how they feel about you and that can't be shown via Christmas presents. How is the relationship the rest of the year? Enjoy Christmas. Eat,drink and enjoy the silly TV shows! Its only 1 day.0 -
They're family.
Are you really not close to enough to just say "oi, where's mine? Do I not at least get a card?"
Edit - just seen the update. All the more reason to go for the above. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I'm guessing there is more to the reason they forgot, but like you say enjoy the rest of Christmas. I am cooking myself a small turkey crown and got plenty of nibbles to munch on, and will enjoy the rest of my time of work0 -
Just wanted to wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas February cat x0

Happy xmas Februarycat.
I feel let down by someone this year, it’s not a nice feeling, but you get over it . Enjoy your day and focus on that, that’s what i’m going to do.
I won’t be mentioning my disappointment today, but I will be making it known in the New Year. I’m not the type to keep things in if important to me.
It won’t stop me enjoying myself though. So enjoy your food, get some fizz and chocolate into you. You can also watch whatever you want...when you want...with no interruptions. :T.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0
