Starting the year in Australia. Cheating a bit as already there. Cyprus booked for late summer. Closer to home: France for a booze cruise and mid-Wales numerous times. Also trying the time to spend on the West coast of Scotland in the Spring visiting friends.

This year...
- February: Four weeks in Thailand [Bangkok and Kanchanaburi [Bridge over the River Kwai, Hellfire Pass]], and Vietnam [Hanoi, Quy Nhon [up and coming beautiful beach town in Central Vietnam south of Hoi An]. After years of long haul to the Far Flung I think that'll be our final trip, too much yet to see closer to home.
- April: Two weeks in Croatia. 3 centre holiday, staying in Split, Island of Brac, and Tucepi.
- May: Three week in Spain [Nerja, near Malaga].
- October: Just over two week in Croatia [Split] and Bosnia & Herzegovina [Mostar and Sarajevo]. Bosnia & Herzegovina is wonderful, and because it's not in the EU is very, very affordable.
- November/December: Three weeks in Spain [Albir, close to but far enough away from Benidorm.
2018...
- January: Four nights in sultry Scarborough.
- February: Two weeks in Turkey [Side, near Antalya].
- April/May: Two weeks in Macedonia [Skopje, Lake Ohrid, Bitola].
- June: Just under three weeks in Romania [Transylvania, travelling round by train to Sinaia, Sighisoara, Sibiu, and Brasov].0 -
A month’s cruise at the end of January starting at Peru and ending in Sydney, calling at Easter Island, Tahiti, Bora Bora, the Cook Islands and New Zealand. Four days in Ibiza in April, two weeks in Ibiza in June, two weeks in Canada and Alaska in September, and two weeks in Tenerife in November. Also considering a few days in Northumberland in July, as we haven’t been to that area before. Lots to look forward to.0

Planning a jaunt to my beloved Cuba, this time to Havana...
I have located a good Salsa teacher there and am planning a daily lesson, and of course to spend most evenings on the dance-floor. After a month or so I might be reasonably good...
And if I manage to make enough money for an expensive treat, I might fulfill my lifelong ambition and get to see Chester. It is a long way from my home in Lancaster, and I can't even fly.0 -

I work...I pay my bills, and don't eat out often/do not drink or smoke and save money where I can so I can afford a couple of breaks per year off season. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

Nothing booked yet, rarely book anything more than a month or 2 in advance, but possibilities are Iceland, Norwegian Fjords cruise, a sailing holiday in Greece, a beach break somewhere hot maybe tagged onto the Greece holiday. Plus visits to various relatives abroad and a few city breaks if time & I can get good deals. Doubt we'll do anything long haul, unlikely to be able to get enough continuous time off to make it worthwhile.
Doubt we'll do it all - but will do our best!0
