Have you any nice travel plans for 2018?

I love the escapism of reading about other people's travel plans.

We will be going to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote in January.

Driving the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland early April.

Cruise in June, destination under discussion, but will be Mediterranean or Norwegian Fjiords.

Spain in September. Pretty much run of the mill, but we are so fortunate to be able to do it.

I have done all the long hauls I want to do now, so it's Europe for now. :j

Just back from Finland above the Arctic Circle. Snow mobiles, Huskies, Skiing.....

A group off friends are looking to charter a 10-12 person boat with crew to sail around the small islands of Malta next year.......still thinking about it.

A dual city break of Helsinki/St Petersburg in the spring and possibly Costa Rica around November.
    I hate verisimilitude.

We've got our wonderful annual sunshine break in Turkey booked for June: perfect relaxation, super food, company, warm sea and sun.

We've just got back from Poland having enjoyed a split centre city break in Krakow and Warsaw. We'll do at least one more city break in the spring.

I'm a great believer in something to look forward to.

    Ive had a fantastic year.

    Malta
    Slovakia
    Iceland
    Slovenia
    Netherlands
    Northern Ireland
    Montenegro
    New England
    Chile
    South West USA

Alas, poor health robbed me of Australia and the first two Ashes tests. And the Great Barrier Reef.

And I doubt I'll get much further than Anglesey in 2018.

I have nothing at all booked for 2018. I work in IT contracting which means that it is difficult to plan travel far in advance as you don't know where you are going to be working more than a few months at a time.

2017 was busy for work so all I managed abroad were long weekends in Budapest and Madrid plus a full two weeks in Vietnam. The weather wasn't great in Budapest so I didn't see as much as I wanted to so it would be good to go back. I've been to Madrid a few times and it's one of my favourite places to go for a last minute weekend.

It was my second visit to Vietnam and just as good as the first. It's a wonderful country which is becoming much more popular but still isn't overly touristy.

For 2018, I'd like to do a few European weekends - maybe the Baltic capitals as I haven't been to that part of the world before. If I have the time for a big trip then probably Cambodia as I only scratched the surface of it a few years ago
