A good haul at Tesco last night. I was there at 7pm, headed straight for fruit and veg, and the man was just starting to put the third and last yellow sticker on, 75% off original price. The store wasn't busy, so just a few people gathered around, it was very civilized, no jostling.
There was a bit of a scrum around the chiller cabinet at the front of the store when stuff was brought out. I went to have a look, mostly meat and convenience foods, nothing to interest me.
Briefly I got, broccoli, potatoes, carrots, sprouts, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, salad leaves, green beans, baby sweetcorn, fruit salad, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, bread, muffins.
There was loads to go round, I was in the store for two hours, I left at 9pm, waiting for the stickers to go on. Worth it for the reductions.
IlonaI love skip diving.

Actually they reduce their stuff the night before from about 8pm to 9pm depending on store,
Did a late shop last night and saved over £3 on what I was going to buy anyway. :T
A warning some times it will be a feast, sometimes a famine.
Just FYI, Lidl have a 30% reduction as well which they do about 7pm, (well in my town anyway). The one plus with thier reductions is it is applied to stuff which is still 3-2 days in date. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!

I was in Aldi tonight and there was loads of 50% reductions all dated tomorrow, it was just after 9pm. There was a lot of meat and fish, but my freezer is already full so passed on them. I bought onions, spring onions, blueberries, carrots, cauliflower, lettuce, potatoes, fresh orange juice, mushrooms and broccoli. However I did have to point out to the assistant that she had missed two labels and overcharged me for my bedding plants!0

I tend not to bother with Aldi at night because all the fresh stuff has gone by mid-afternoon. But that would explain why I have never once seen anything YS there!Actually they reduce their stuff the night before from about 8pm to 9pm depending on store,

"up to HALF PRICE" is the wording on the stickers Iceland use on reduced items. Do people on this Forum understand that the reduced price should be less or equal to half price? Or is the saving meant to be up to half price?
The difference may not be significant if the original price can be divided by 2. But if the original price was 79p, should Iceland be charging me 39p or 40p?0
