    Hurrah for the blackness!

My Dad is one of those people who would spend silly money on a bulb. Luckily he is also very generous with his treasures, and I owe my current thousands of white things to his kindness a few years ago. I'm busy splitting and increasing the population again.

Aw lovely - our actual 'normal' wee white wonders are relatively economical, we've sent out a wee few hundred thousand this year. :p so my mission to cover the world in flowers is still currently active. I'm glad you're enjoying yours. I'm now working on sorting out ours for autumn dispatch and dismantling the dispatch rooms, saying tearful goodbyes to the seasonal staff etc. I'm sure they remind you of your dad too.

My white things arrived yesterday:j It is lovely and sunny and actually quite warm, so must get out and plant them while I can still see where the last ones are. Loved that they came wrapped in old copy of the newspaper:D

Oh how lovely Maddie - I can categorically say, I dugged them up and I sorted them and some kind lady with very much more clean hands than me, wrapped them, and in true team work awesome style tottled off to the post van to post them to you. I'm glad you got them safely. Many happy years with them.

Am I the only person to have no white ones here?

Beanie we COULD rectify that - but I had none here when I moved in. A few of the more diseased ones (heading to the bin) made it home in my first season - turns out they all survived. :T

EH - fires are nice like you say cosy the house, although all mine appear to do is make me go to sleep on the sofa.

RT - sounds like a bonnie wee house. Happy new brood.:A

Morning lands, a day off today - hurrah.

Banks to sort and carpark for the airport to fathom out - yes its late to leave it but was still unsure up to today what to do. Looks like we are driving there.

If anyone has any glasgae airport tips let me know its an early flight and we've a lot of gear to take with us so prefer to be as close as possible. I did advocate airport bus but himself isn't keen due to the distance.

Need to get a few other bits sorted this side and begin to pack the dogs suitcases.

Working both days at the weekend to get me to a good stopping point there. Washing is fairly up to date, don't need to take much as its largely ski clothes and pjs. Rock and roll our holidays are.

:) banks and a cuppa me thinks.

Good old martin got a hotel/and parking for just about same price as just parking. Woop free breakfast too.

Banks looking like I desperately need to put an expense claim in certainly NOT in very black like today - but I've paid for lots of post and other things at work.

Must get that sorted as its almost £1000 will put that on tomorrows list.

CC's showing good as payments through.

DD and BF meeting up later on - nice when we manage that hasn't happened for months.

DH now calmer now that parking etc organised.

  • £1000 owed in Work expenses? :naughty: that's terrible for your company to allow that.
I paid out £240 in expenses, submitted the expenses receipt and my employer said 'no way you should be spending this out, here's the company credit card form to sign'
(I work for a charity too)

I take your point regarding expenses, and I know that's steep - we are in the process of putting in processes for our very new charity but its a small team and very tiny baby steps - all of it was incurred in the last month - one part was for a flower growing cut flower course, which I really pushed to go on to, so I'm not too bothered to be honest. I'm OK at supporting proactive change until the mechanisims are in place for best practice.

For us the season of the wee white fairies here is extraordinarily busy and this year with the cross over - we are just finding our feet.

Our team joined the small charity team on the first of april at the end of the crazy busy period - we've doubled their team, so its small team, big changes afoot. Really exciting I do prefer working in the third sector.

Exciting times, they'll pay it almost immediately and tbh partly if I'd put them in before the end of March, I'd have them already! So its a two way street.

    We've no CC's at work.

I'm glad you've got a card though that sounds handy to me. DH company operate on the same pay it up front and claim it back system - and its a huge multinational. Funny how some companies work isnt' it.

  • Washing out - brr its cold out there where is this sunshine.

Transferred money to CC and re done some council tax stuff.

Must get the dogs beds washed for their holidays.

I got my visa approved - phew - they'll let me in to see the bears who've woken up. Super excited. Messaged the hotel to see about a room upgrade or to be on the ground floor near the pool :P but not sure that's viable. But, if you dont' ask, you don't get.

Just working this weekend but stopped for lunch. ALL GRAND.
Spring appears to be here - who knew.

Started on that pesky expenses claim - got the postage sorted and need to find a few bits of paperwork but all grand on that front.

    Forgot me lunch - doh.
