EH I didn't get to the rhubarb yesterday, ended up heading the opposite way to get a new fuse for my car (but the good news is that the car repair only cost a fiver for a new fuse and a spare, and not the £100+ I had thought!) Will try again soon.
You could always plan ahead and buy a nice frozen pizza (or several nice pizzas and freeze them) and have it ready for a home-made take-away when you get back.
Today off for a 'hen do' day out. Hope it will be fun and not like the last one I went on - which was about 15 years ago and possibly the weirdest experience I have ever had!0 -
Ey up me ducks - my word where has February gone? I blame those pesky wee white flowers and the festival that follows them. Oh and I got ill again - wasn't quite the flu wasn't a cold - not sure where that 5 days of my life went. But, it wasn't pleasant.
Waves to all. Woke up at silly o clock and have been amusing myself by researching leaf blowers all good, we need a new one at work - its like owning a jetpack which makes tornadoes of leaves, very much fun and very much NOT work.
Just delved into the bank which told me I was last online on 2nd Feb OMG turns out when you don't check things, don't stop working and don't look too hard, you don't spend anything either.
However - car went in for an unexpected exhaust needing looked at, one exhaust section, one sump and two tyres later 412 spent. YIKES
So much for Frugal February.
Grocery spends have been minimum due to busy/ill/busy - this month so far looks like only £45 but I'm sure sure I've caught everything......ponders that one for sure
Cleaner was in yesterday so just moved £22 into her account
Wood and gas £42 so far - although I know we need more logs or I need to chop more logs.
Petrol not been too crazy work/home/hosp all in the wee car - when it was on the road - and lift sharing for the few days it wasn't so far petrol is at 86
No vet expenses this month so far we've survived on paraceatamol at 24p for the month. Not that bad.
Need to pay some over to the holiday and find a new dog sitter as the April one has cancelled. Never a dull moment - lol.

Pippi! :hello: welcome back! :j
Impressively low spends there :money: particularly impressed with your vets bill
Are your flowery friends over and done with now?
Gosh I wish we could volunteer to cheery dog sit in April. Sadly I fear we will be still marginally overwhelmed with our own new homestead... :rotfl: although right now I am scared stiff and would rather be at yours!0 -

Hey up all - Cheery I'm sure it will be wonderful at yours
I'm super excited for you!! We've had an offer of a grandad for dog sitting so we'll see if he's up for the journey - easier for the old hound to be at home if I'm honest. 4 sleeps me dear woo hoo.
Beanie its cold but we are fine. Thank you for asking we have the hospital consultant on Monday so we'll keep everything crossed for that.
Mutt is currently sleeping noisily by my feet, such snoring.
Cheery we're only half way into our cheerful snowdrop festival and its crazy times at the moment - big weekend coming up with many coaches and folks cooing at the wee white things.
Spent £8 on logs yesterday, 9p on a neep and 62p on a chicken/sweetsour for himselfs lunch, unnecessary maybe but it was looking good and tasty and didn't want it to go to waste.
Today I might go a bit crazy at the chinese supermarket as I'm heading northwards over the water to the city, may give it a wee while and see if the mother is free for a cuppa - no reaction to the new treatment this time, so she's a bit more oomph about her. Beanie she started to get that payment you mentioned, the macmillan folks were great at sorting it all out. Whilst she doesn't need it right now, who knows what the future might bring and she's saving it. Thanks for the heads up on it.

Thanks Beanie! I hope quite seriously you are warm. Its just mental here with snow and gales.
We're still snowed in - never been so grateful for the wood stores or the larder! Oh and snow gear. Off to do banks and keep cosy! Kettle is on.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Wages are in and I need to do a wee wages swichteroo later - we've not a hope of leaving here today, didn't leave yesterday, so that's some no spend days for sure. All the main roads are blocked too so not sure if we'll get anywhere tomorrow - good for the moneysaving for sure.
Washing is on and about to hang up in the kitchen as its the warmest room, heating is off but the two stoves are on so I see no point in wasting oil.
Been easier on the petrol this month. Mum's seen the consultant and got some good news so we're on 3 weekly treatments (non chemo but experimental) for a year, lets hope it stays at bay for a while. Consultant again at the end of May. Fingers crossed that goes well next time again.
Spoke to lawyer last week to finalise POA docs and stuff for Mum - that's all being sorted for her. Bit of a thought but needs doing.
Work is closed literally only folks there are the ones living on site. No one else can get in. I think its one of the first times its ever closed. This storm is certainly something.
Off to check CC haven't used it much so shouldn't be too bad at all. Then I can tot up the end of month stuff and see what's what for March.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pippi your snow is awesome! Wish we had it like that down here!
I'm so pleased to hear your mum had good news. Lets hope the experimental stuff is good stuff.
Yay to accidental NSD's!

Ay up sweetie :hello:
That is some snowdrift!!!!!
Was thinking of you this morning. A new album was being plugged on c1a$$1c fm - it's a-lun T1tchmarches new offering - his 'pomes' and Deb Wiseman's music. Anyway, the music for 'snowdrop' was lovely. Not too sure if you can hear it over Al's earnestly written and delivered 'pome', but it's here if you wunna take a ganders. Very nice piece of music/cello playing......
