Hardly a surprise - they don't even offer a 24 month warranty as standard like Samsung and others.
  • It’s not unreasonable for a battery powered device to cut down processing in order to extend operating time when the battery Voltage reduces, which is what the blog appears to suggest is happening.

Elsewhere articles have mentioned issues around a lack of storage on older devices limiting their use with bloated apps and operating systems.

How can Apple continue to make huge profits, if users aren’t encouraged to replace their iThngs every couple of years?

If iPhones were intended to be a “phone for life”, they would have been designed with a user changeable battery

I thought that was why they made them out of glass.

    In other news:

Humans sue themselves due to aging and dying due to planned obsolecense

Car manufacturers sued as cars eventually break down due to aging

Children sue pets for aging and dying due to planned obsolecense

Get over it, things get old and die and need replacing - except my Nokia 6210.

    Apple has confirmed the suspicions:

    Evolution, not revolution
  • If Apple did the opposite and left them as is and the battery died even faster or the phone randomly turned itself off there would probably be even more complaints.

Not advocating what they have done but I think whatrever Apple did/do people would always complain

No need to complain if you avoid buying their overpriced/over estimated products as compared to Android, the most popular mobile operating syatem worldwide

Grovelling... They know they are in the wrong... Now it's only $29 for a battery change, but only for the 6 or newer...
