Can I suggest you read this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=614705&page=115, if you read all the pages, including the chit chat you will get a very full picture of what is involved in the life of a Mystery Shopper.
But just to give you an idea,
It is not easy money, you will have to declare your earnings, and maybe taxed and claim the money back the following April, the majority of companies do not pay travelling expenses, reports have to be in on time or you wont get paid, you have to use "queens" English and not text speak  (spell check helps as well and gets me out of many a pickle) and you have to have the patience of a saint when you are in the middle of a report, not yet pressed the save button and the system goes down. , but if you like you fast food and are not too worried about making a fortune, it could suit you down to the ground."Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0 -

Just to clear it up, students pay tax just like anybody else, so don't be fooled with the "full time student" myth! Mystery shopping alone won't take you over the threshold though at a guess...0

Hello,
I have just completed the first assignment but did not think this would be affected by tax as it is £5.00 a job and not that regular... Do I need to declare it to the inland revenue and if so how do I do it... Sorry to sound stupid but it is a minefield when it comes to tax!
Thanks
