I have a job already and was just looking at doing the MS as an extra thing, is this not the right road to go down? Are u able to choose what u do or turn things down?? I work 5 days a week 9 till 5 and just wanted to see if I could do it on the side. What do you think??
I work Mon - Fri 9 - 5.30. I work in town so do some in my lunch hour. With Retail Eyes, you have a look at the list and choose what you want!

I have just registered with Retail Eyes and see that I have to enter my bank details before undertaking any assignments - is this safe?0

My employer has my bank details. It comes in handy at the end of each month. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Yes it's safe. They are a well known and reputable company. If you want to be paid you need to give them your details!0 -
You need to provide them (I assume the people you want to work for) with the name and address of people you have worked for in the past and / or someone in a respected position who can say they have known you for a while and that you are an honest, hard working person.
Good luck0 -
You will also have to demonstrate that you have a solid grasp of English with good punctuation and grammar, which your post suggests you may be lacking.
You could try starting off with a company such as GAP who require very little comments in their reports.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!

I mystery shopped for ages and I should point out that if you are in it for a quick buck, then you'll almost certainly be disappointed. The good paying jobs require you to prove yourself to the agencies involved first!
If you're in it for the long-term, want to do good work and are able to put in the time, research and effort then you'll do well.
Do your research, make sure you register as self-employed with HMRC and have fun

I,ve just started mystery shopping and have come across a few pitfalls you have to look out for. One shop involved a museum visit, the spend allowed was not enough to complete the assignment, e.g. the entrance fee and hire of equiptment was £14.00 the total spend allowed was £10.00. I completed the job and now waiting to hear back if I,m going to be reimbursed fully for this. If I,m not then it,s costing me money to do, and not worth it. I,ve come across a couple of these in a short time. Just a warning to those starting out.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

I have been a full time mystery shopper for over 10 years, and now allocate restaurant visits in London and the South East.
Mystery shopping used to be generally a good occupation earning good fees, but in recent years the companies have dropped fees and mileage, yet the work still gets done. The company I allocate for however has not decreased fees, but our questionnaires are very long and detailed. Still, a good meal out is always welcome.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Hi everybody,
ive just looked at being a mystery shopper @11 am this morning ,by 2.30 pm i had my first assignment by 3.10 pm id finshed all have to do now is go through the questions they have given me and check for grammar, punctuation etc and make sure its to the company's criteria, apart from that minimum outlay for a purchase was under £2.00 but get that back with the £7.00 they will pay me if every thing is ok (its not hard work you just have to be able to put it a certain way on paper, fingers crossed) ill let you all know how things go with this company.
try it for your self as i think its a good job for single mums , people who cant work through illness and people like me who just need extra cash
"be warned check the amount to what you are paid against the amount that you might have to pay whilst on an assignment as could find your self out of pocket
