Dang! Wrote an indepth reply only to find the system had logged me off somehow... Here it is in a nutshell:
I've found Yougov, Lightspeed, TNS, Ipsos (my favourites), Test and Vote, GFK, Globaltestmarket and Ciao the best. Have to admit my earnings from Ciao have been augmented by a brief foray into writing reviews for them (which I've now lost interest in). Valued Opinions have come through from time to time but I've only earned about £10 from them and Synovate once came through with £30 for agreeing to a follow up telephone interview after an online survey.
I've dumped Mediatransfer, Just the Answer, Canvasse, ACOP to name a few as giving too little reward for too much work. Pureprofile I find mindnumbingly boring and hardly ever log on these days. Surveys.com hardly ever come up with surveys but I do clock up ipoints by clicking through to their offers.
My experiences seem to tally pretty closely with your despite differing demographics - 2 young kids - so I get loads of household ones and plenty of cleaning products and foodstuffs to test. The only ones I'd disagree with are Ciao and ACOP. Ciao seem to have dropped their rates ridiculously lately. I'm getting offered something like 27p for surveys that are supposed to take 5 minutes but take at least 15. ACOP aren't frequent but when I get them they are really quick to complete, pay £2 to £4 and you get paid straight away so I still like them. Must admit I'm not doing too well with MediaTransfer either but having got a huge box of toiletries a couple of years ago for a short series of surveys I keep going in the hope of a repeat.0 -
I agree re. Ciao ... they've dropped their "rewards" for surveys to ridiculous amounts and they always take far longer to complete than they say they will. Time to say goodbye I think ...
Strange how numbers of surveys sent through vary from person to person. Despite my profile stating "no children", I get quite a few Valued Opinions surveys through (3 or 4 a week) and have collected many rewards from them. These, Ipos and Global Test Marketing send me the most surveys.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
I've been a member of Ciao for about 3 months and have never had one survey!
I actually quite like testandvote even though many other MSE member don't. I din't think much of their rewards so convert my points to ipoint which do have some great vouchers. Also its instant, no waiting weeks and weeks to recieve vouchers.
You need 50,000 points to convert to ipoints, I thought that woud be impossible but it only took about 6 weeks as some of their surveys are worth 10,000-15,000 points. Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
I do the occasional T&V survey and also convert to ipoints, but find I always have to chase up ipoints to credit my account, which can take ages.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0

One of my friends with a similar profile to me (same profession, similar income, no kids) joined Ciao at the same time but had far more surveys than me. We put it down to the fact that she was a driver/car owner (she got a lot about cars and watching motorsports) and also to the fact that I wrote Ciao reviews and she did not. I definitely think there is something in the latter theory. When I started reviewing my surveys dropped to nothing, then started coming in again when I stopped reviewing.
You're right about them going downhill though. Although I don't mind getting 17p when the survey only takes 3 minutes!Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -

I find Ipsos and Global Test Market definitely the most prolific. Wouldn't mind more from TNS as they are always really well put together.
Has anyone else been doing GfK television and radio ones? Much success in the prize draws?Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -

Gosh, that's good about ACOP. I've only been approached a couple of times and have ended up being screened out. As for Ciao - they were offering the princely sum of 10p this morning, and I got screened out anyway!Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
just tried and was able to register with acop
must admit dont bother with CIAO anymore as i always got screened out but i must request my money from them first.
best surveys i find is one martin has mentioned but we're not meant to discuss...'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Having said Ciao is hardly worth the effort, I received the following from them today; it's no good to me but someone here may be able to use it:
My name is Emmanuelle and I am contacting you from Ugam International.
We are a Market Research Agency based in London.
We have been commissioned to conduct a study with patients suffering from Parkinson's Disease and this
is why we are contacting you.
If you suffer from it or can pass on our email to people who do, we would like you / them to contact
us if you/ they would like to take part in the study.
This is a Market Research study only, not a clinical trial but it would help the pharmaceutical
company who commissioned it to understand the challenges patients face, and how they cope with their
treatment.
The study would involve an interview for 1h, conducted from a location in Central London between the
12th and 14th of November, and patients would be given £80 in exchange for their time and involvement.
If you think you can help with this, please contact us on:
E-mail: ugams.87014@ugaminternational.com
Tel: 020 7803 1491
Please make sure you mention that you are a member of the Ciao community.
Many thanks in advance

I have been trying to get into online market research to try to earn a bit of cash, I have registered on a few sites but have found that when I start a survey I am 'not suitable' or as I am from N. Ireland our opinion appears not to be considered! Any ideas please?0
