Whats the idea then? I'm seriously bogged down now because we're starting a new business, so its very time consuming, but in a couple of weeks I'll have a bit more time.

PM me if you like but I'm off to bed in a mo. I'll look in here tomorrow.

    Hi

I run a few sites and have a cashback site I want to sell too... my dayjob is too intense for me to run such a demanding site - so any interest there, PM me... similar to cashbag (same developer).

The site I am concentrating on at the moment is a directory and it is in my profile - please go look-see, from my profile I have deeplinked into the forums section and you'll hit the MSE page.

I'll collaborate with others if there is a benefit of doing so.

    Hi

Here is a good list of affiliate networks that you can use....

    https://www.affiliatewindow.co.uk
    https://www.affiliatefuture.co.uk
    https://www.buy.at
    https://www.tradedoubler.co.uk
    https://www.dgmpro.com
https://www.omguk.com (lots of financial stuff and high paying)
    https://www.smart-quotes.net/affiliate.html (more financial)
    https://www.cj.com
    https://www.affiliate-advantage.co.uk
    https://www.affili.net
    https://www.clixgalore.co.uk
    https://www.netklix.com

A good way to build an affiliate site is to find product feeds and use something like https://www.pricetapestry.com to display the results. There are a few ways to get clever about all this.

Those providers below offer contextual ads, google being the best, Oxado not as good. Miva is cool as they do the inline advertising, this is where their script searches keywords in the text of your pages and underlines these keywords which shows an expanded ad upon mouseover.
    https://www.google.com/adsense
https://www.mirago.com/partnerships/index.htm (they do contextual and self hosted search engine)
    https://www.oxado.com
    https://www.miva.com/uk/content/partners/miva_mc/ (inline and contextual adverts)

PM me can give you quite a bit of advice

A reminder for all the users of this thread

    ADVERTISING

This site is free from advertising. Posts on any board considered to be advertising goods, services and/or companies will be removed. We also do not allow advertising via PM

Examples of this can include anything from a specific sales post or a link to your own website in which you attempt to sell something to someone offering their holiday home to forum members. Unfortunately we cannot allow any advertising of any description no matter how honourable the intention.

Like you, my day job has all of a sudden becoem too demanding too.

I think we are all of an IT backgorund and im soecifically in networks and support.

So best thing we can do is get ina 3-way MSN or something similar and bash out a few ideas, i think mine is rock solid so i guess we can converse on that and anything you dudes have to offer too.

I dont think we need any money to get this started, we just need some solid planning and execution.

Ive always wanted to play it out but finding the same level of commitment from similar people is hard.

Looks like we got TTMC and yourself on board so lets get talking tomorrow.

Just let me know you IM id's in PM.

    Cheers chaps.

Just dont let this guy write the copy for the website:rotfl:

On the serious side of life im only too happy to find space on my internet portal site for this. Il PM you mate!

No, you are wrong the offer was a genuine one. I know, I used it and so did many other people.

The Company was the ad network and they pay you £5 per month for having a banner on three of your web pages. They also pay you a £10 joining bonus.

For a while they had an offer where they paid you six months in advance, which meant when you joined you got 6 x £5 + £10 joining bonus, making it £40 for having the ads on your site.

I believe this offer has now closed, so they've gone back to paying you £5 each month.

If you want to know more, and a link to the site see post #27 in this thread.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=525349

They really do pay you each month, and you can submit as many sites as you like. The more sites that get accepted, the more fivers you get each month!

Thanks for this, a bit of a delayed thanks as I have only just got back my internet connection :j

This is the one I was thinking of, but the £40 has been reduced to £10 as mentioned

Just a warning to anyone on here not to contact "Show Me Da Money", not sure what his deal is but I got a whiff of scam and walked away.

He claims he owns a large tech website which I doubt this very much (checked the addresses and things) and the whole idea doesnt ring true.

    Whatever you do avoid guys:D

Can anyone recommend some reasonably priced affiliate software that would let me run an affiliate scheme, and report and pay people for driving traffic my way?

There appears to be much out there in the market, and much of it is very expensivo!

Probably better off joining affiliate future as a merchant, you'll pick up more merchants that way, whats the name of your site im more than happy to run a link swap with you:cool:

last time I looked Clixgalore was far cheaper than AF.

There is a lot of affiliate software out there which might seem expensive. But compared to the start up fees for affiliate networks it is pretty cheap as it's a one off payment and not an ongoing fee.
