Has anyone ever thought of selling their photos online for stock phototgraphy? (Royalty Free Photos)
I use a stock photography site called PickPixels to sell my images on the web and my images can be used on everything from websites, iPhone Apps, magazines and more!
pickpixels.com/x/2
Hope someone finds this useful.

Not sure what people make of this but being a wheelchair user, I sneak in my slr camera at concerts and take great shots of the band etc and have made £80 on Ebay from just one particular concert.
Timing is important and it's imperative that you sell asap after the concert has finished because excitement eventually wears down and you won't get much for them a few months afterward.
I know it is sneaky to sneak in that kind of camera but it always works for me.
Another tip is that I have a lot of celeb autographs and I used to copy and sell them.
Of course, I always state that they are copies and not the original so please don't think I am committing fraud!
I did eventually stop doing this because I don't think I made much profit from it due to the price of the ink cartridges etc and people started to become demanding and asked for all kinds of sizes.0 -

You're almost definitely breaking the rules here.
Every concert I've been to prohibits photography so you'll more than likely be ejected if you're caught taking pics.
And even bigger trouble if you're making money from pictures taken illegally.
Not quite sure why you mentioned being a wheelchair user - it's irrelevant.
Keen photographer with sales in the UK and abroad.
Willing to offer advice on camera equipment and photography if i can!0 -

Anyone interested in selling stock pictures should look around at other sites before selecting one, there are several mentioned in this thread if you look back over it.
A few points worth bearing in mind....
You may be better to sell your pictures rights managed rather than royalty free. Have a look at libraries that do this.
This site is offering to give away your pictures, never a good option if you are trying to sell them.
It looks a very recent start up, and has very few pictures so will not be anywhere near the top of the list with picture buyers. Look in magazines and see which libraries have picture credits in them as a guide to which sell best.0 -
Presumably because wheelchairs are often placed at the very front at concerts, so speedy2056 would have had a good view for taking photos.
Then I would have expected the post to be more along the lines of
"Not sure what people make of this but I sneak in my slr camera at concerts and being a wheelchair user get a great view at the front to take great shots of the band etc and have made £80 on Ebay from just one particular concert"
The wheelchair comment is made in reference to sneaking in the DSLR, not the great view.
Either way it's irrelevant - the photos are taken illegally because cameras will be prohibited at the concert.

Hello, by the way. I'm a newbie:)0 -

I had used websites such as istockphoto.com and redbubble.com but found your work just get lost in a sea of similar images and if one does particularly well then everybody creates similar images and you make pence not pounds. Just thought I'd share my experiences on here.
Spam by any chance?
After an initial sale I'd only get a couple of quid per print - barely better than microstock sites offering a few pence or cents per download.
For selling 1000 prints I'd only get £3850 - or £3.85 per print - and that's the maximum I'd get.
Alternatively I can continue to use the site I'm already on and receive £85 for an agreed use or the other site I use where I negotiate the price and recently received £20 for one print.
Move along please.

I would also have thought because it is easier to sneak in a bigger camera when you are in a wheelchair. My friend is also a wheelchair user and we used that to sneak in beer to festivals!
