Are you aware of the amount of photographers that get arrested )have there DNA, finger prints and there there cameras and are jailed and only one has had compensation !(because he was a pro in a union) Think it will not happen to you think again it is not just pros !
Could you post a link to a news article detailing this happening in the UK???pennyforthem wrote: »Or how about because you are lacking in knowledge and you therefore dont know your rights as in what subjects you take photographs of illegal subjects !
If you haven’t read all the posts or visited the dozens of sites with links in this thread, then you don’t know if I’m lacking in knowledge.pennyforthem wrote: »Then there is taking photographs of subjects which if found by the subject owner they will remove from you and sold for their own profit !
Quite simply, impossible.pennyforthem wrote: »I was pointing out that it was irresponsible to claim anyone can just pick up a camera and send photographs to this site without pointing out the legal aspects. Dont listen makes no difference to me at all I was just trying to be nice and save you legal fees etc
If you’re trying to be helpful perhaps you should read the entire thread before making assumptions. Might also help if you wre right.
Maybe you should visit the two sites below before assuming I and others have no knowledge

As I pointed out earlier :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: People will not read through pages of posts to see if there are any consequences to their actions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: As for your request that I run around to find the information for you well you have accused me of being a lier I suggest you do your own work and on your head be it if you do not ! I worked very hard to get to where I am and I dont need to waist my time on threads with this tone. We are not in America you have to work hard for where you get in this country !!!! I will give you a clue thought its a charity that will sell your photographs for their profit !:rotfl:
Well done cazmanian_minx  Be careful if you are going to have a big submissions because if one of your submissions is rejected they will reject everything you have waiting without looking at them and then you will have to upload the hole lot again ! I haven't heard that they have improved this yet. Dont settle for Alamy though work out where you would like to upgrade to, if you have made it this far you can do better ! Remember RESEARCH, RESEARCH,RESEARCH !!!!!!!!!:T:T
Good luck to all and good bye from me:j0 -

Sorry I didnt see this so I will just fit it in. To get into Alamy they are not worried about the content as long as it as it adheres to the terms and conditions they set out. It can be aesthetically displeasing but it must be technically correct. So no out of focus, overexposed etc I assume they place their own judgement on abstracts, action and things. So just worry about the technical quality and that the subject is excepted by them and you will be excepted
The restrictions in the terms and conditions, they are set to legally cover themselves and are not the extent that you will need to know to keep out of trouble !
See Ya !:j:j:j:j0 -

What tone?
You're the one with the almighty attitude who accused everyone on this thread of not caring about the legal implications when you hadn't actually read the thread.
I simply suggested you read it before making such statements.
You have nothing worthwhile to add to this thread it would seem so goodbye to you too.

I *think* pennyforthem is referring to the National Trust photography issues.
Here's a link if anyone hasn't heard about it and would like to read up.

Told ya so :rotfl::T:beer::j
They have already been taking photographs from several agencies ! I am amazed you didnt know that darich as you quite blatantly sate "You have nothing worthwhile to add to this thread " :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I think we have established who has the "almighty attitude" on this thread !!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:: And as for your allegation of "accused everyone on this thread of not caring about the legal implications " THE HOLE REASON WHY I POSTED WAS TO WARN EVERYONE I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT WAS BLATANTLY OBVIOUS "IF YOU ACTUALLY BOTHER TO READ THE THREAD" ! QUITE CLEARLY I SHOULD NOT HAVE WAISTED MY TIME AND ENERGY AND SHOULD JUST EMAIL THE WEBSITE INSTEAD !!!!!! EXACTLY WHAT I WILL BE DOING NOW !!!!!!!!!
darich= RUDE AND THE REST !!!!!!!!!!!! LOOKS TO ME LIKE YOU ARE JUST A TROUBLE MAKER AND SPOILING IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE !!!!!

My first attempt was rejected for exposure, but I got through the second go. I think if I put a direct link in I'll probably breach MSE's advertising policies, but if you go to Alamy and type robin Caroline Jones into the search box, you'll see my first four. Not expecting any sales on them until next Christmas :rotfl:
Advice would be to read the Alamy forums, they're very helpful, and to scrutinise every inch of your pics at 100%.
