Hi mumoffour. I think you're absolutely amazing with such a big family on your own. All that washing as well! I hope the boys room plan helps your 3 year old gradually sleep through in his own room, and then you'll miss him lol. Just have that vision of owning your own home to get you to power through the debt .0

I was going to login the other day about the bedrooms but looks like you are all sorted now. We only have 3 bedrooms so the 2 boys (12 and 14) share and then the girls (8, 10 and 16). There is a lot of arguing and 'i don't want to sleep in the same room as them' but they sort it out eventually.
Hope the new arrangements work for you.
You are doing great and will soon be looking for a house to buy.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

So the plan worked for the first two nights but the novelty has obviously worn off as he is currently asleep next to me! And thanks Storm, I don't feel amazing most of the time. My house cure looks like a bomb has gone off but I am hoping to get it mostly sorted tomorrow!charlies_tribe wrote: »I was going to login the other day about the bedrooms but looks like you are all sorted now. Thanks Charlie. It is hard giving up my room but when I thought about it, all I actually did was sleep in there and I can do that anywhere really. I think being on my own it feels harder to put up with the arguing, especially as the older kids haven't seen their dad for five weeks now! So it's just me telling them off and putting up with arguments and moaning. I can't wait to move into my own place.0 -
So today has been busy but I finally feel like I have got on top of the kids bedrooms today! So I have helped the girls tidy their rooms and have hoovered and put stuff away.
I have also tidied the landing which had the stuff out of my bedroom and leftover stuff from the kids rooms when we did the move. It has all been hoovered as well.
I have also tidied the bathrooms and chucked bleach down the toilets!
Done loads of washing again and I think I am down to four loads of washing to do! I don't think I will manage to catch up until Friday now as at work for three days!
In addition I did an Easter egg hunt for the kids around the house. The younger two had little eggs hidden around the living room by DD2. I then hid little eggs around the rest of the house for the DD2, DD3 and DS1. They had to go and find an egg and bring it back before they could go and find another one. It took them ages to find all the little eggs and they loved it. I think this might be a tradition that we do every year!
Not done any ebaying or FB selling but I have a pile of stuff now which needs to be listed so I might do some tonight before I go to bed.
Back at work tomorrow so I need to get bags ready for the smallest two as they are at nursery. Right off to do 15 minutes of tidying downstairs as that has been neglected today with the sorting out of upstairs!0 -
Can you come and sort my house please? It's only a little two up two down... but I can't be bothered...Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

It's a date, however, you may not enjoy dealing with Mr Wish - he's the hoarder. He's been known to check the bin bags before they get sent elsewhere. Very frustrating.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Easter egg hunts are great. I like your idea of having to bring one back before going to find another.
Bedrooms and occupants can be tricky to manage...all of mine share and always have done, even through GCSEs. DD1 has a desk in her room which the little ones know not to touch! 3 of the DDs share the largest room which seems to work well at the moment. The toddler shares with me then DS 1 and 2 share. The younger DDs tend to play in the living room / kitchen table which allows quieter working time for the older secondary age children.
Hope your current arrangement works well for you.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Hey!! I've just finished reading your diary & I'm exhausted as even just reading what you do in one day has knackered me :rotfl: Puts me to shame with my 2 daughters, and I share 50/50 access with their dad!! You are seriously amazing! No idea how you do it.
Well done on the debt busting and saving! And Disney will be magical! I can't wait to take my girls one day. Hopefully in a couple of years
