Single, six kids and going to be debt free!

Hey just catching up, my life’s been a bit manic.
Re the £1000 I always think treat yourself a little and put the rest to debts. Maybe do a 50/50 or something like that. I think you and the family deserve a day out where you’re not worrying about the money or surveys or whatever else... in all honesty consider treating yourself, like get a facial or something you would never do. You work so hard everyday!
Re the ex not talking to you, let him send you just one message to say he’s not talking to you, and calmly respond “no worries I respect your wishes.” Don’t send another message, don’t call, don’t text, show him no emotion, you’re better than that nonsense. If he’s not replied to your messages don’t send anymore, and don’t apologise please! Let him come begging for you back, don’t make it seem like you’d just accept him back. Keep your self worth high, he made a choice not you, it’s not your responsibility to try and fix his poor choices.
Hope you have a lovely birthday. If you were my mum I’d get you flowers.
Thanks Camz, I have decided to treat myself and sent eldest out with money yesterday to buy me some bits for my birthday. She normally does well. I did say I wanted a couple of charms for my pandora bracelet so she told me she managed to get three along with some other bits. I'm really not one for facials and stuff like that, I'm more likely to do something like a rally car driving experience! In fact I might have a look for something like that.
I will take the kids out but maybe when the weather is a bit better. It's miserable here today.
And the ex, well I had decided that the next time he asks me to do something I shall just ignore him. I am getting too old to be playing games and I don't actually need him so that's it. Unless he decides to sort himself out and grow up, I don't want to know.
So I have been thinking about which debt I am going to tackle next. The only other one that has charges is my overdraft. And here is the plan, I have done my spreadsheet for each month up to the end of December and it looks as though I will go into my overdraft for about five days at the end of January/beginning of February and then the same at the end of February/beginning of march but after that I won't be near it at all. So in theory that is paid off or it will be by the middle of march without me really paying into it.
So what to do with the extra money that I intend on making/saving from my budget. Well I think I am going to split it between the emergency fund and some new furniture I want and spending money for the rugby tour we are all going on. This way I will he the money saved and don't have to worry about spending whilst we are away for the weekend.
The plan may change of course but it is looking like if the debts accept the amounts I offer them and everything stays as it should, I will have about £1000 at the end of august to pay off one of the debts. Of course things never go to plan!0 -
As your son gets older if he turns into me, he might find the situation continues with clothing... I’m not even skinny nowadays but still quite a small frame so even with muscle I don’t fill up clothes but I’m over 6 ft. I find ted baker do a great range “T for Tall” Asos is also good they have a tall section and Levi’s make jeans for taller guys whilst still keeping the jean skinny and tight on the legs (I hate super baggy jeans which is usually the case when you buy the taller ones dunno why). So the good news is as he grows up stores begin to cater for him better
I can’t remember where I used to go as a kid but I feel like I had a lot of clothes from gap, I almost feel like all my tops were from there lol.BC 0/15305.83 MBNA: 0/11231.16 TESCO 0/822.87 LOAN 0/4272.670 -

As it's a new week tomorrow and this week has been a good week so an update on what I wanted to get done in January.
January 2018 Goals
Pay off debt - £2524.42/£2200 done :j:j
Lose six pounds in weight - 3/6 (doing well so far, just need to keep going)
Make an extra £100 by the end of the month - £98.88/£100 (FB sales didn't come through in the end but surveys were doing well. Got to get listing again tomorrow)
Manage 15 NSD - 2/15 (this isn't doing too well as I always seem to need to spend on something like bread, milk)
In addition I have the following balances
Shoppix 1920/3200 tokens (payout at 3200 for an Amazon voucher)
Shopprize 5398/10000 coins (payout at 10000)
Prolific academic £1.25 with £2.38 pending ( have cashed out twice so far already but seen no studies for ages!)
Ok and to add to the list above of targets I am going to add my new targets that I want to try and achieve.
Girls rugby tour still to pay £0/£155
Minis rugby tour spending money £0/£200
Emergency fund £337.50/£600
So those are the ones I am going to focus on next. The spending money is needed by the end of march, the girls rugby tour by middle of April and the emergency fund asap. So any extra and any savings will be split three ways.0 -

Thanks Charlie's tribe. I definitely won't do as well next month with paying off the debt! And I get really annoyed when I don't come in under budget on my general spending on food, petrol etc. This week should be better than last week for petrol and general but food might be tight as both small ones needed nappies and I had run out of wipes!
So the ex who ignores me unless he wants me to do something for him has sent me a text this morning saying happy birthday! I really want to reply and say something sarcastic but just know there is no point really.
My kids bought me some lovely presents this morning including three pandora charms. Only problem is that I have put my bracelet in a safe place and now I can't remember where that safe place is.The last place I remember it was in the bathroom and then I moved it because I thought that wasn't safe! So now I am going to have to think where on earth I would have put it!
Today will be spent doing a little bit of housework, sorting out some kitchen cupboards and listing bits on FB to sell. Then takeaway tonight with the kids and generally a relaxing evening :rotfl: who am I kidding, the kids will make the evening manic as usual, no one will go to bed on time and I will end up running round like a mad thing tomorrow morning to get everyone ready on time!0 -
