So today I have received a text message saying the DWP have received a written report for my pip claim and they will make my decision soon. I should hear within 6 weeks. I’m not sure if this is a good sign or not.
Three of my kids went back to school yesterday and the youngest went back to nursery on Tuesday, so for the last two days it has been just me and the 14 year old at home. It is so quiet! But I think I need to scale down my land for each day to be honest. Yesterday I had four hours between drop offs and pick ups and that goes so quickly. Today I have slightly longer as the older two are walking home by themselves today. They have done it before and I don’t foresee any issues. This morning i have so far sorted out dry washing. I am having to wash uniform each day as the school have asked that the kids come in a complete clean set of clothes each day. My kids would normally wear the same jumper for a couple of days and the same shorts if they weren’t dirty for a couple of days. It has meant that I have been keeping more on top of the washing but it does mean that I have had more dry washing to sort each day and put away.
This weekend my dad is having the 10 year old girl for the weekend who is struggling it’s everything at the moment. So we are going to have a sort out and move some rooms round as my eldest is still saying she isn’t coming home. I aphave asked her as I do need to know sooner rather than later. This will always be her home and if she was to come back, then we would make it work. But at the moment there is a spare room just sitting there and I need to use it.
Right better get some lunch and then it’s time to do some sewing.3 -

Thanks beanie, it’s just a waiting game now then.
So two of my kids are now back at school full time, one is doing 3-4 days a week and my youngest is back at nursery doing her four days a week. This has meant I have had more time to myself, albeit only four hours during the day between staggered drop off and pick up times! And my eldest hasn’t returned home. There are still issues between us so I think it is very unlikely she will come home. Yesterday the 14 year old moved her stuff into what was the eldest’s room. The eldest had left loads of rubbish and other stuff in her room, which I did offer to tidy up but the 14 year old said she would do it. She moved all the furniture around by herself yesterday as well as moving her stuff in. Very impressed with her at the moment. So today I have to move my eldest boy’s stuff from the small room into the large room. That also needs a tidy and clean which I will do at the same time. Then I will have to move the 10 year old’s stuff down into the small room and give it a clean at the same time. Luckily I don’t have to move any furniture around this time, just clothes, toys and other bits so it should be relatively easy. Then tomorrow morning I am going to view a caravan which is about an hour away from me. It has already been partly converted into a craft room by the current owners so seems ideal to be honest. It has a large corner desk one end, with a cupboard where the toilet and shower used to be and then the other end is a table and two bench seats which converts into a double bed. I think I might leave this as it would help if we ever have guests over to stay. It already has electrics and does have a fridge, cooker and hob, but I think I might remove them as I don’t need them. I might also make a removable large table top so I can do my cutting out in there. I also want to paint the outside of the caravan and will probably decorate the interior. But it’s not as big a project as I was thinking and I have the money saved up to buy the caravan and do it up from what I was saving for a new house deposit. I should also have loads left over to fund other things. Today’s job is to price up the repairs and modifications needed and then I can see what money I have left.
Right I had better get on with moving stuff around seeing as tomorrow I am out looking at caravan, then picking up food shopping and then it will be getting kids ready for new week at school.4 -
Wow - quite a lot happening with you since I last posted! Staying put in your house and buying the caravan sounds like an excellent plan. And I like the idea of buying a two bed and renting it out until such time as most of the children have moved out and you can move in for good. Good planning!👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy2 -
That’s a fantastic plan Mumoffourkids. Hope that the caravan is all that you need it to be. Are you able to tow it to bring it back to your house?paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Yes I am hoping so too. I already have a tow bar on my car and my car should be strong enough to tow it, maybe slowly but that should be ok. I am also old enough to have the towing caravans on my licence without having to take another test. I have towed my trailer tent before, so I’ll just need to take it carefully with the caravan.
