Barclays Customers Kaspersky Renewal Offer

I've been using Kaspersky Internet Security free of charge as a Barclays Customer for several years and if Mr Putin's people have been spying on me I've not noticed my secrets being compromised. In the light of Barclays withdrawing one of the few perks they offer to customers, Kaspersky are offering renewal when due for £4.99, a saving of around £40. I'll happily avail myself of the offer when the time comes.

You are being overcharged by £4.99
  • Its probably all mind games / political and that its only commercial /government users that need to ditch Kaspersky.

Really down to your own feeling of safety with it ..

You could say the same thing about all AV providers, do they really let their governments have access ?

Think the only UK based one is Sophos, though it never hits near the top of the security charts for home users, if you believe them ?

If you like the protection of an all in one package seems Norton or BitDefender are the main rivals the Kaspersky.

You can get US based Symantec Norton for 5 pc/devices including smartphones for just £22.99 from Argos.

Or you can get a whole host of other ones for free.
  • Its a good deal for those of us who dont care about mr putin nicking our pics, although the otherside of me says kaspersky are just being picked on for not being easy to access for the NSA..
  • I keep getting notices that my phone isn't protected and to use Kaspersky. I'd hate to think Barclays have yet to realise putting AV on a phone is akin to putting a chocolate kettle on the stove. I do have Avast mobile but that's just because I downloaded it when doing my PC.

The Kaspersky Total Security package is around £6-99.
Of course some on here will say use free or you don't need a security package at all .

You'd still get those notices even if you'd installed Barclays offer of Kaspersky when it was available.

Ha ha. I do realise it's useless but it's just in case Barclays ever accuse me of compromising my banking details by not having an AV. In actual fact, Andy, I'm pretty sure it was you who convinced me that it was a useless exercise some time ago.
