Was the rubbish bin actually in the Santander branch?

Will you lose any sleep if I didn’t tell you my story about a bin?.

Apologies, but my second post was not intended to be gratuitous or in any way mocking. You asked for people to tone down their attitudes and I realised that you did have a point.

Therefore in an attempt to atone for my earlier unsympathetic post I tried to see if there was a way that it would make more sense.

If you had inadvertently dropped the banknote in a bin in the bank branch they may have found it and possibly refunded you if you told them about it.

Just a 'heads-up' for other posters. From previous posts, the OP appears to be somewhat vulnerable.

Been very quiet on that front since they were questioned whether their username was a derivation of their real name and that banks do read this forum and could begin closure instructions

Speaking of which I'd suggest the OP on this thread is careful of what they post as its highly likely their username contains his real name.

There seems no easy way of amending ones username.

Thanks to TheShape for giving us background.

Sorry I'm not sure I understand. Did you bin it in the branch or give it to someone by accident to bin? Or was it outside the branch?

I had rubbish in my coat pocket with the ten pound note in the same pocket, and with my low memory span I binned the ten pound note by accident with the rubbish on the High Street as I exited the branch around three minutes later.
