Fantastic news about next year's challenge. I truly slipped this year with health scares then the cancer diagnosis so next year needs to be different.I will be having surgery very soon (please not before christmas) but then things need to change.
As well as paying off debt once and for all I'm another one who has a lot of house renovations to get on with.
I have shopping this morning but when I come back I'm going to spend an hour looking at next year's figures. It's going to be difficult being on reduced wages then ssp soon, but hey ho.

Hi everyone
Well Ive been ys shopping and managed to get some bargains for Xmas food and that's all gone into the freezer. Feeling a lot happier, the other 2 daughters are chipping in some cash and I will mention to other dd the reason theres very little alcohol, if they want it they can go out on Boxing day and get some from the shops!! and after Xmas it will be stews, shep pie etc, and I will suggest they take me out for a meal!!
So Xmas presents all wrapped, I don't send Xmas cards but give some money to charity and I HAVE done a budget with the help of dd3 who has made a spread sheet for me and gone through all my bills, so from when I get my next pension payment (just before Xmas) everything is going to be recorded. I do have a couple of big bills coming up but I should be OK if Im very careful, but as dd3 now knows, she has offered to help me out if needed, which she says she wants to do as I bought her up on my own - bless!!
Anyway on that very positive note Id better ready for picking dgc up.

The less I spend, the more I can afford.

It's the busiest I've seen the thread in a long time
I'm also hoping to join again next year. I have plans to put in place and I like to be kept on the straight and narrow.
I find children and money tricky nannygladys so hugs from me.0 -

Hi everyone.
Thank you so much for all your well wishes. I'm feeling alot better than I did.
All the kids have come down with awful colds.
I'm in again for 2019 and will definitely post more. We are doing a no spend 2019 and our rule is essential spends only. So I'll post here and in my diary over on the mfw board with our progress.
