FrankieM - Great news on the boiler!
Things are just plodding along for me at the moment. I'm a bit behind on my Christmas shopping, so I think this weekend I need a plan. I already have a list (checked it twice!).0 -
Morning All
I need to give my head a wobble. I've had a terrible week food and money wise and need to get back on track.
I think the tiredness of lots of work is catching up, but I'm close to being debt free that I can taste it!
I was going to plod along and get it paid off by the middle of next year but I'm trying to get it paid off as close to the beginning of the year as I can so that I can start the year as I mean to go on.
It feels like short term pain for long term gain, but I just need to keep that as my focus so I don't fritter money away in my tiredness.
All Christmas presents now bought, just wrapping paper and gift tags needed.
And because the temperature has warmed up, I've turned the heating off again
I also changed my energy provider yesterday. It looks like it'll save me about £200 a year.
Hope you all have a good day0 -

Well done Mumof3 - I remember that feeling! You will have to change your user name now0 -
I'm snowballing things I need to get for/ do for the bungalow. Bit like paying off debts in reverse. Saving up first to have garden cleared, goal is February before spring due to birds nesting.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

:T:T:T FABULOUS! WELL DONE!
Good luck with the future saving, as it is so much easier once you see how/where/when huge savings can be made and avoid the urge to use longterm credit. Mortgage next?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
