Moll Thank you, that's pretty much what I'm looking for. I imagine the prices at the VW garage are such because, well, it's the VW garage. I'm not looking to sell my car anytime soon so I'm not sure why I'm going for the 'full VW service history'. There's got to be a cheaper way. I might do a Facebook shout-out as you suggest.
I keep checking my online statement with Spark Energy. I'm trying to see if they will bring my DD down, after increasing it so much from the winter bills. But this month's statement isn't up yet, so I'll just need to keep logging on and checking.
Chicken & salad for lunch today and tea is a bacon & random veg omelette (with chips for DS)
I'm babysitting for DD1 for a few hours and that's my exciting life

Well I did a shopping list and went to Aldi with my Mum. There were a few things that I couldn't find so have done without, however I bought some summer clothes for dgd as she has nothing that fits. It will save me going another 20 miles trip in the opposite direction to visit Primarni before our holiday in two weeks. But when we got to the checkout my Mum bless her insisted on Paying for both of our shopping. So that has helped me quite considerably.
I am eating a lot of fruit and veg on this diet, and tonight the recipe is. Kale Soup. It's called cheesy kale but there is no cheese in it at all. There should have been cashew nuts but they were one of the ingredients that I couldn't find. So less fibre/protein then.
I hope when it's ready I can eat it, as I am not really keen on kale. But obviously need the nutritional value in the recipes. Also there is 4 portions of the stuff so if I don't like it it's going to be a waste.
Dgd has meatballs and pasta. We haven't had those in a while.
I should be able to follow the recipes for the next 5 days or more without shopping again.
It will give me a little breathing space to aim for some NSDs.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning
Thanks for your pm moll
I don't like kale either mooloo so fingers crossed it tastes okay.
I baby say last night and there was no time for cooking and eating before I left so I bought some food on the way. Didn't spend much but still a spend day.
I'll make the omelette for lunch today and get something out for tea tonight. Not feeling so organised today after 2 lateish nights in a row! My age is starting to show.

The soup with the kale and the substitute items actually was quite good considering. I have several portions to use up. It says that I can freeze it.
I don't have a microwave at work at the moment so I can't take it for lunch today.
I have developed a cough, sore throat and a pain in my chest through the course of the evening and night. But I have no staff so got to go to work and just plod through.
I will take salad stuff so I don't spend anythingWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hope everyone is coping with the heat. Been to a funeral today , The lady was 95 and had dementia for last few years, but still very sad for the family . The couple we know ( It was her Mums funeral if you follow what i mean ) Her husband took ill last night and had to be rushed into hospital . Hes got stents fitted , and something went wrong with his heart, Luckily hes ok , they managed to repair the damage , but what a day to fall ill !! Just got back from visiting him in hospital, My DD goes for the 2nd half of the scan tomorrow ( The lower half of the baby that they couldnt see previously) There shouldnt be any problems , but ill be glad when shes back and we know for certain , Busy weekend for us , as its our village Gala , and weve all been helping in some way get everything ready , putting marques up etc , Theyve hired an 80 inch TV screen too so they can show the football , Hope we win
Weve finally got around to applying to see if we had any PPI. Ill let you know how we get on , Has anyone else sent off0 -
Morning

I'll take your word for it mooloo I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try it.
I've been working a slightly later shift at work this week. Only half an hour later on each end of the day but's adding at least an hour to each journey!
I've still been cooking but I haven't wanted to
It does mean another NSD yesterday though. Thank goodness for not taking my purse to work!
My utilities bill has come in and I think I could drop the DD buy at least £30 a month. I'm going to ring them and see.
No food planned for today, at this point but I'll get something organised before I go.0 -
With this diet I have managed to take or make lunch at work so haven't visited the baguette shop for the past two weeks.
I am still coughing and have a dull ache in my chest especially when I cough. Had a small pork chop and salad in the evening as I didn't fancy the recipe for the day. Gave Dgd some rice with hers. Refilled the paddling pool, and added the chlorine tablets to the floaty thing I bought the other day. Money I didn't want to spend, but hopefully it will save on water and the effort of cleaning the pool out every few days. Certainly while it is so hot.
So I managed a nsd yesterday.
Let's see if I can get by with only a small spend. I ordered some Cawl from the butcher and forgot to collect it yesterday, so I better go in today for it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Failed. I bought lamb kebabs and olive oil and spent £15.50
Had hummus and salad but really didn't fancy it so I bought some dairy free yoghurt. Then a customer bought me some Eccles cakes, so I had two of those with my yoghurt and gave two to the lady in the shop next door. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Been a busy day today , first day of our 3 day Gala ,,,,,,,,, LOTS of work in this heat putting the last of the stalls up , and it kicked off at 5pm , with all the bands playing , tomorrow is the big day , where the we walk with the floats , Ive payed for the marching band that will lead the carnival in memory of my Mum who passed away . she used to love the marching bands, so it will be a bit emotional too
Good News My DD went for the extra baby scan today and they still say all is well thank goodness . They did say it "Could" be a big baby, ( Wonder if that indicates a boy ,i have 3 little grandaughters)0
