    <full analine >
Are you saying the product was sold as full analine but is not ??
Or are you saying that you don't want full analine but would prefer a cheaper leather or plastic polymer coated leather ??

  • What is your issue with analine leather?
    Make £10 per day-
    June: £100/£300
  • And possibly more pertinently can you prove they said it?

If they misled verbally you still have rights but if you can't prove they misled you it's very difficult.

Thank you for all your post.

i feel a lot better after reading them.

yes they said it is all 100% leather top front back etc which i am hoping it is when it comes to my home as i never thought to inspect it properly at the store (my bad i got caught out in the mad rush of the sale)

yes she said it was full analine ( so she did not mislead me there) she did not explain that it marks and picks up grease or stains very easily even with water.
i think it would have been nice if she had and i would have thought about buying it a bit more,,

maybe somebody on this forum will reply " but she doesnt have to" thats true and it is fair enough. but it would have been nice to have been informed of the product by an expert as i could have chosen something else and she would have still got a sale.

if i was aware that it was non refundable i would have thought about it a lot more (again my bad as i am not clued up enough on these topics) and there defenatley was no signs anywhere if there were i did not see any

the reason i feel like it was mis sold was because she said it was originaly £5000 which it was not it was originaly £3500

    Thanks again for your input

l wanted to know about consumer rights on all different matters like if i payed by credit card would the situation be different, if it wont fit in the door would they then accept a refund for me, can i change my mind on this purchase, have i been mislead and therfore am able to get a refund,
    etc

I have learned a great lesson.

after reading your post`s i now feel like i dont need to worry or waste time trying to get a refund, feel bad about the lack of info on the sofas and the sale, and the wrong original price that was given to me.

I am now hoping to enjoy these full analine sofas.

    Thank you.

just a regular sofa with real nice leather, that doesnt need regular treatment, not a special purchase item in a way

the lady hid the fact that it needs regular treatment on it, that it stains with water, and scratches with the faintest nail scrape, leaves finger marks, and in a way is a special kind of purchase item, not suitable for all types of people.

as a side note, I actualy rang a different retailer to find out there prices on full analine sofas and they only had about 4 different sofas out of hundreds, they asked me strait away if i had kids and pets, and then told me it wont be a good idea for me to go for there full analine sofas as they wouldnt like to see me unhappy with them in six months time.

i dont know if i can mention the companys name on here but anyone who watches goggle box would know who i am talking about when the adverts come on

i wish the lady who sold me these sofas from Leekes were more open and honest.

although it is a sofa with real nice leather ( she is right there), it is not a sofa that is suitable for my home. it is not a sofa that can be left without regular treatment and not a sofa that can take a little traffic like the semi analine,

I know it is a little bit of a grey area where by she did not have to tell me this as i should have known what i was buying and all that but any way i know a little bit more now on different types of leather after doing some research.

I didnt even hear about full analine before i bought these.

    Thanks for your post

As has been said, you don't have a statutory right to a refund for in-shop purchases that conform to contract, and (in the eyes of the law) you should do your research so that you are aware of what you are buying.

Did you only find out that it was "originally" £3500 after you had paid the money? If so, I suspect that the retailer would be in breach of the Consumer Protections from Unfair Trading Regulations for giving misleading information.

I haven't looked at this in detail, but I reckon you'd be entitled to a full refund.

OP, you haven't been mis-sold anything. You made a rash purchase on, what sounds like a decent leather sofa, without doing any research beforehand and in particular checking whether it will actually fit into your house and now you're clutching at every straw in attempt to get out of it.

A full aniline sofa will last for years and will look great as it gets older, all the marks, "scratches", etc will simply add to it's character, it's called patina, look it up.

And when it arrives it will be real leather, whether it's nice will be a matter of personal choice.

As for price maybe the rrp was £5k or may be one store had it up for that price for one day in a month of Sundays on a leap year.
