Hey folks,
It's cold and slippy today. Please don't be too mse - make sure you keep warm!!
OH and I are planning a nice evening in writing the cards and wrapping the pressies. Think a small glass of mulled wine is in order too.
In other news, I pb'd my push press today at 42.5kg! Power! That's up from 35kg in the summer. Kinda suggests that I'm selling my jerk a bit short at the same weight though haha.
Right, toodle pip folks

I’ve done a little shop this afternoon - got on enough for 4/5meals and desperately wanted to buy a bottle something to drink but resisted the urge. That’s saved me £6.50 on a bottle of Sainsburys semi fizz, which I now want more than the air that I breathe.0

Hello all and welcome MMC
I feel like I've been lazy today but I've probably done more than I think.
I've finally dropped off the eBay parcels, they are very, very late but three of the buyers have got new or like new shoes for £5 so I'm hoping they won't be complaining and the fourth paid a little more but they are being delivered to a storage unit so hopefully she won't notice.
I rang the tax office to get my tax code allocated and it turns out I wasn't getting my allowance at the last place either so I am due a rebate! It should come on 22nd December which will be very welcome!
I had 7 sales by the time I woke up this morning, it's up to about 9 now and fingers crossed for more this evening, I have designed another card today, it was a bit of a headache but I think it will sell well so should be worth it.
Dinner tonight is going to be a roast, probably with some packs of YS chicken slices, I will make extra stuffing for the fox as its so cold out. I have an extra bird box I keep meaning to put up for some shelter, I will try to remember to do it tomorrow.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hi Tuesday Savers,
Useful day on the frugal front:
*Did my mid-month budget check-in. No nasty surprises. Moved funds around to keep all my different 'pots" straight. Paid a CC & updated grocery budget.
*Did 5 surveys & entered a prize draw.
*Baked bread.
*Checked ebay....still just 1 watcher, otherwise nothing doing.
*Checked leisure budget to see if we can afford tickets to see a comedian . Yes we can, as long as I remember to perform a small tweak when I set January's budget.
*Updated new O2 amount. We have both switched to sim only discounted deals. Total saving only £8 a month, but service level a lot better.
*Washed my coat which is now drying on heated airer & taking the chill off the conservatory at the same time.
*Still eating roast pork leftovers - Chinese-style spicy pork rice tonight.
*Wrote tomorrow's job list.
*Ate cooked fruit from freezer to make supplies of our fresh fruit last longer....& make more room in freezer.
*Rounded up small change for shrapnel jar.
*Made fudge (for a gift).
*Knit
And that is it for today. Hope everyone staying warm - I thawed out the bird bath twice this morning & it still froze over again within the hour.

I was sent home from work today as i was sick, so i had to skip seeing my Grandad today. (Hes in a nursing home as he has severe dementia and may be one of the last times i'll be able see him)
I stayed home obviously and slept for a few hours off and on
My fiancee is cooking us burgers tonight
I decided to pay my energy weekly as for me its easier to afford it that way. We're with powershop
I also added a few things to my expwnse tracker on my airtable sheetDebt to fiancee - £404.00 (left to pay) | Save £12,000 in 2018 - £371.90 all together|2,018 items in 2018 (8/2,018)0 -
Hi guys
I started a post earlier but then wandered away, as is my wont these days!
Carrie what does "Kinda suggests that I'm selling my jerk a bit short at the same weight though haha" mean???
Went shopping for majority of December food today - apart from things that if I get them now they'll be scoffed which I'll leave until next week. Must write a list and a meal plan....
things today:
* went for works xmas meal - will claim parking on expenses. The rest is from my own pocket. Wondered if I should have bothered....
* got free food at a working brunch
* got oh to hide food I will eat long before the xmas break if left to me!
* got a load of stuff ys including 1/2 price pastries and olive bread - that's xmas day breakfast sorted
* sliced and froze said bread
Gosh that really is a poor list! Going to go for a walk now and try harder tomorrow!DF as at 30/12/16

A jerk is a different type of overhead lift - you kinda heft the bar up then bob down under it quickly instead of pressing it out. My max push jerk is also 42.5kg but I should be able to jerk more than I can push press. Strength-wise, my max jerk should probably be about 45kg-47.5kg I thinkLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Morning folks
adventureofmemories - I'm sorry to hear that your granddad is so poorly, and that you're under the weather too.
I haven't been posting lists because they are just so samey on my work days (then I don't seem to get near the pc on non-work days!).
Not very mse last night as we decided to buy some bits and make a little picnic while we wrote the cards and started wrapping pressies. Nice little evening though.
Tonight I will wrap a few more pressies (best to do them in small chunks or it gets overwhelming!). I will also double-check the recipe for the Christmas pudding cupcakes that I intend to make for our neighbours.
Possibly a bit of crochet. I'm going to rattle through the end of the November part of the CAL to get ready for the December one. I need to run it by OH cos he wasn't keen on the December colours at all, and I suggested swapping the pinks for purples. I'm going to put all the yarn together and see what he thinks. It's going to be for our bed so I want him to like it too
Have a good one folks

A quick check in from me
adventure sorry that you didn't get to see your grandad and not feeling great. I've been trying to see a friend who is in a care home before Christmas but the weather has really been against me.
Stocked up on a few more bits for Christmas last night when i went for cat food.
FVD you made me laugh when you said about ur cats and the food. I was waiting in for my travel money yesterday so had to share out what sachets I had left with crunchies. Mine also weren't impressed, what I want to know is how do they know, I thought it would make a nice change stretching out the last of the sachet food with crunchies, but I swear if they could have it physically thrown it back at me they would have done!!!!!
DD is up for 3 sports awards in Jan.........that child is expensive to run!
Same area one award one evening-discounted posh accommodation and fortunately the next awards are the day after-not discounted posh accommodation. They wanted £120 not including breakfast and I would have to pay for parking aswell. Said to DD I would hunt for somewhere else, found somewhere 10 mins away, with free parking and breakfast. With a friends staff discount it came in at £42, I was so happy esp as it's going to cost in petrol to get there and I've also got to factor in monies for the cat sitter. The savings made will cover both of these. I'll never be rich!
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
