I kind of feel like it's like going to a car wash and you tell them they missed a bit and reply "well you can do that bit yourself, won't take you long" :o)

I don't think you have stated how much you paid and how much you are now looking for?

Paid close to 10K for it, would take probably a little over 7K now, need it sold within 2 weeks

I think that is a realistic price but it is not a prices that will get you a quick sale especially at this time of year, very few people want to buy a new c just before Christmas

You couldn't have picked a worse time to sell it quickly. Is it 4wd? You might have some advantage there if it's a bad winter, but otherwise you'll probably need to take a hit on it. What are the car buying sites offering?

Five months ago, in summer, you paid dealer-price for a private-purchase car, and you're surprised that it won't shift quickly and easily without taking a hit in the depths of winter?

That's before you failing to notice the mileage discrepancy...

I mean that the OP didn't even bother glancing at the paperwork supplied with the vehicle by the vendor at the time of sale.

Where does it say all the MOTs were supplied by the vendor at the time of sale? The OP says they had to contact the MOT station to get a hard copy once the issue came to light.

I missed that. So the OP bought a car, and didn't even get a copy of the MOT with it? (Three guesses why that was omitted... because it gives away the clocking)

No previous certificates are needed - the current certificate gives the mileage at the last four tests.

I am always a little wary of car buying sites. Yes it is 4WD.
A local car dealer has given me a price for this and my other car that I am selling. The two combined is a price I can live with.
I emailed AA on Sunday ... still no response
