Snow cancellations. 10 Dec

Options
Flight from France cancelled due to Luton being closed. I have hotel accommodation and new flight tomorrow but will not be able to use my train ticket (non-refundable). I've read the guide, but am not sure if this is 'exceptional' and whether I can get any compensation. Lots of people must be wondering same thing. Can anyone advise?

Weather is certainly outside the control of the airline and therefore compensation is not payable for your delayed arrival and lost train ticket. With the best will in the world there is no blame, and therefore no claim for consequential losses. From your comments, it appears they have looked after you in France, and that is rightly the limit of their liability. Maybe look to see if your insurance policy covers such losses, assuming you have any insurance
