You may complete at midday and the house ceases to be yours once the money has gone into your account. You have no right to be in the house once your buyers have paid for it because at that time it becomes their house.
There have been examples in threads on here in the past where people have arrived to move into a house only to find that the previous owners have not yet finished moving out.0 -
I think it's a call to the sols first thing in the morning. Doesn't help that going to Germany Wednesday - talk about bad timing0

I thought it was repealed as standardisation with the EU, since most other European countries simply laughed at us panicking over so little snow...?
No it was in 1961, so that house moving couldn't legally be delayed by the predicted and actual bad winter of 1962/63.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

And what do you expect them to be able to do? You'll still be in breach of contract with all of the financial repercussions that that involves.
There must be a van-hire company somewhere you can get a vehicle from.0 -
So what happens if we physically cannot get out of the house in time?0

Then you will have to pay for hotels, storage, extra removals costs plus any other expenses (food, clothing, etc) for everyone else in the chain. This could easily run to several thousands. In fact it would probably be cheaper to buy your own van and the sell it again after the move.0

It sounds like you've only looked at 2 options, your original van hire and the second van hire which has been refused?
If I was you I would be ringing round every possible removal company/man with a van until I found someone who could move you. There's bound to be someone who can help, especially with Christmas coming up and people needing the extra money. It's not always expensive as you think.
When I moved in August I found someone on Facebook who moved me for £135. They even had their own tools to dismantle larger furniture to fit through the door.Make £10 per day-
