Yes you will still complete or else you will be in breech of contract.0

What if we can't get everything out the house in time...?0

It's -11 and snow on the ground. I am sure we would be able to move if we had to though it would be damned cold work.0

The problem is we couldn't get the van we originally needed and the hire company won't hire us one out..? Stress0

I beg to differ.
Under the Property Purchase (sleet and snow) Act 1923, if the snow is more than 2 1/2 inches deep (when measured from the centre of the carriageway immediately outside the address of the property being transferred), OR sleet is falling at a rate exceed 1/2 inch per hour (measured at the horse trough nearest to the property being transferred)
the contract is suspended for a period of 48 hours OR until the depth of snow has fallen to below 1/2", or a period of 3 hours has passed without sleet falling ('sleet is defined in the apendix), whichever is the longer.0 -

The legal beagles will do their stuff whatever the weather. Actually moving is something you & vendor can discuss by phone, but reassure beagles that you intend to go ahead as planned (a) as house insurance etc gets very ticklish otherwise & (b) met forecasts Can Be Wrong.
Amongst the moving tackle, pack thermals & if you can't get one big van shrug & resign yourself to a lot of smaller ones. (Ask the vendors whom they recommend as a chiropractor, or where the nearest pool with sauna is.)
All the best of luck in your new home!0 -
