Ok, you may want to rewrite that. It’s mostly a jumble.

How did they get the wrong address? Is it the address on the v5? If it’s the “Wrong” address, but is the address on the v5, can you see that isn’t the “wrong” address? How do you know about these tickets?

Are these tickets to do with your vehicle? Simple yes or no.

Do not”speak” to them. Everything is in writing.
You don’t just “get” a ccj. You’d need to fail to defend or lose at a hearing.

You only get a CCJ if you lose in court and THEN refuse to pay within 30 days. Or if you ignore or miss a court claim (usual reasons here being people not updating their V5 address as keeper of the car, so they miss the nasty PPC claim in the post years later). Sounds like you need to give them your correct address so you miss nothing important.

On this forum we win 99% of fully-coached defended claims v PPCs.
ill also speak to the company if i can afford to pay.

No you won't, if you were planning to contact the PPC scumbag, talking about paying and blabbing who was driving - DON'T be a victim. Only contact them IN WRITING, one letter to deny any debt and to give them your correct address.

    Which PPC?

You need to read the NEWBIES thread about court stage, to be ready to defend with our help, if it is a firm which tries court (some never do).

Most of these tickets are scams, and are beatable in court. They use low rent solicitors who fail to follow the Civil Procedure Rules, make errors in their signage, have contracts which do not allow them to make claims, get their timing wrong, etc., etc., etc. In many residential car parks they end up paying you money.

They prey on the vulnerable and the ill informed, tell lies. and sometime alter evidence. In one well-known case, one PPC even committed perjury.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • thank you guys for the response

the address on v5 is wrong its my friends address where i supposed to move but somehow could not. and being lazy i did not change the address. but i never lived at that address. my friend informs me about the tickets. on my license it is my old address which is totally different from v5 address and my present address.same reason being lazy and didn't change the address..

now yesterday they stuck the ticket on my vehicle at 3 am, saying that they are going to county court if i do not pay the previous charges.

if i write to them they might pressurise me more, if i dont contact them they might get ccj without my presence, but my info is wrong at dvla, how it would show on my credit file.

it cannot show on your credit file unless you lost in court and failed to pay the judgment within 1 month

that is how you get a CCJ and how your credit file is affected

so if you go to court and lose , pay up , promptly

the dvla CAN FINE YOU £1000 for failure to keep your address up to date

I sugegst you get that sorted asap and it should match your driving license, so make sure that BOTH are up to date , as its £1000 for each one (maximum)

appeal each and every NTK that arrives , by reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread at the top of this forum , using the black text template for each one
  • so if do not attend the court there will be no ccj against me..there are many people of my name in this country..i have also put the car on sale today.

    What relevance?

This is NOT what you have been advised!!

If we could not pay a bill and just ignore the court we would all be much richer with no bills to pay!

Ignore the court and you get CCJ! Please send £20 to a charity of your choice for this helpful advice which will save you a great deal more!!
