In answer to the final part Re it being a problem to ask for advice. Where do I start?

I have been a member of MSE for many many years now and when it first began we were all a lovely helpful friendly bunch.
I had my own area of expertise and offered much advice to many poor souls (I used a different user-name then) plus I was one of the top guys for finding 'Bargains of the Day' and nearly everyone that had been here from those days communicated well with one another. indeed, even ol' Martin. He & I have exchanged many eMails during that time.

Gradually over time, more and more arrogance and rudeness crept in and slowly one by one, members left. Over a period of 2-3 yrs MSE dissolved into a battleground for people wanting to show their might. Vulnerable people, often at there wits end, were openly picked on and criticised and brought close to tears by miserable ignorant and bossy individuals who seemed to imagine it was their god-given right to be nasty.
And this attitude still prevails today in all corners of this wonderful site.

People state something that can be very ambiguous but they hit the roof if they are misunderstood. If they were to see from the other persons perspective, this could not happen but they are too wrapped up in their own self-importance to imagine that they might be in the wrong.

How is it that people simply asking for HELP can be so picked on? There are people that I have spoken with on other sites, with mental health problems (Something I have close connection with from my working days ) and they are simply AFRAID to come on here.

Ignorance is king on here and you often see groups joining together to drag someone down and having succeeded, go on to attack someone else and by close of day, I bet they must feel really proud of their conquests.

Having said that there are so many (Coupon Mad for example) plus MANY hundreds of others, who go out of their way to help and go a long way to make up for the wrong'uns.

I would use a search engine to find their website. The email address will be on their. If you have a PCN from them, it will probably be on there as well.

Alternatively, use the BPA website to get to parking lie's website.

Basically, give us some slack. We are, with a few minor exceptions, all on the same side as you.

Also FRUITCAKE - i do understand that you are all busy on here but infantile comments by someone like KEITH are completely unnecessary as are comments made by 'helpers' fixated on 'WHY DIDN'T THIS OR THAT HAPPEN' 2 weeks prior when the whys & wherefors are totally irrelevant. Yes, I have but I also think I have also been given misleading and confusing information at times too but not to worry.
