Read http://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/latest-news/cycle-to-work-scheme-10-things-to-know-5055 it explains what you signed up to
So as I see it they want £880 to complete your contractual obligations and the return of the bike. Or £880 and an amount equating to the fair market value if you want to keep it.
However in the end it all boils down to the t&C's that apply to the scheme that your employer set up.0 -
You're only actually out of work for a few days (thursday to sunday), the bike is unfortunate but won't make you entitled to benefits0

Once you finished the hire you have to pay a small amount extra to keep it.
So for a few extra quid the OP can keep the bike and sell it, for much more than the amount they will have paid extra to keep it.
I don't think anyone ever returns a bike.0 -

But he has to pay for it first0 -
 I thought that ESA was a benefit if you have an illness or disability that affects your ability to work.
Surely, if someone has just left a job through choice for whatever reason other than an illness or disability, then JSA is the benefit to apply for ?0 -
I refer you to my previous reply0

I left my job through the stress it was causing me... I was going through risk assessment... My manager has a grievance investigation against her , and I felt like she was turning it into a witch hunt. A friend I worked for 12 yrs ago just happened to have this temp to poss perm job coming up as I resigned... So I would've been unemployed , stressed n going to the doctors. Instead I seized the opportunity n accepted the role to keep employed....old manager gone new role for someone who appreciated me n remembered me from 12 yrs ago n heard I was on the look.0

I am only informing people of their rights. It is for them to choose if they qualify.
I will not discuss any more. That is what "discussion time" is there for.0 -

And after all I went through it is hardly surprising. I don't want to cause angriness on here I merely need help n advice. So thank u all of u.0

as you're clearly not unfit for work, or are you intending to call in sick on Monday?! claiming to be so because you have chosen to change job with a debt and at this time of year is not honest0
