Resigned, need help, benefits n cycle to work scheme

I resigned on Wednesday, absolutely hated my job, and my new manager. Knew I could get a temp long term contract starting next Monday. Which I have got.
I had entered into cycle to work scheme with prev. Employer as I cycled and no intention to leave until this manager tipped me over the top.
They agreed to pay me my weeks notice so they only owe me Half a months salary around 760 pounds. The bike was 990, I only paid 2 instalments, 110 pounds. 990 minus 110 = 880 owed. I guess it will be the gross pay they will use to deduct all they can. Therefore what happens to the tax side of the paye for this month..? And I go on weekly salary starting from Monday . 365 per week gross. So in effect I have no earnings to live on for my first 2 wks of this month. Also I have no holiday pay for the 22Dec to 2 Jan , due to Xmas. I am in housing assoc. flat. Can I claim any benefits.... To help me over this short period until I get rolling from the 2nd with continuous temp contract?
I am very confused been in continuous employment for over 25 yrs. no benefits don't know where to start .
Please don't say why couldn't you stick it until after Xmas , don't want to go into it it was unbearable.

I gather the cycle to work agreement reverted to me having to pay the whole amount 990 pounds minus the 2x55(110) not the mthly pmts of 33 which was the mthly payment I would have paid had I continued to work for them.0

If you have a £900 pound bike, only two months old, can you sell it to get some money?
You will not be entitled to benefits as you gave up your job.
You could try speaking to the HA explaining the circumstances to see if they are able to help with delaying rent payments, worth a phone call?
What other bills need be paid before you get your first wage?0 -

I started an 'Xmas temping' job so much shorter duration and from what I can make of it, the employer is agreeing to pay the 3 bank hols over the festive period.
I also departed ex employer very likely with money owed - though they are still to sort it and so haven't been instantly pursued so your fears may be manageable.
Ask for installments when the time comes?0 -

Under the cycle to work scheme the employee only 'hires' the machine, they don't own it.0 -
