I am aware of where you are. You’re not in knots. You’ve done all you can to correct the error and have been reasonable.
Please post the EXACT wording on their letter. It makes no sense that they would send your 2nd defence as a witness statement. They might refer to it, but it makes no sense as “their” ws.
You don’t really need MCOL any longer. It’s all letters
You don’t pres7me you need to complete the n180, you KNOW. Because post 2 of the newbies thread tells you this. Complete and send to court, copy to claimant.0 -
Yes, forgive my error, I know!
Here is a copy of the the scrappy email sent to me by Gladstone's expert legal administrator, Kelly.
Good morning,
I write further to your email sent on 3rd January.
As a claim has now been issued !!! evidence will be sent in the form of a witness statement 2 weeks before the hearing.
Kind regards

So that doesn’t say they’ll send your defence, does it?
No, it’s what I suspected - a refusal to send documents despite your request for documents, assuming you made one, being reasonable and meeting the overriding objective0 -
No it doesn't and I'm still awaiting documents, will see what happens.0

Hi, I've received a letter from the court stating I must pay a fee of £25 before the hearing, does anyone know why I have to do this?0

Or have you indicated you are making a counterclaim? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
