  • After 6 months with Economy7 we are returning to of all people EDF on a fixed rate through the club, I know its a variable tariff but theor latest increase is the last straw with a eye watering 25% hike in annual estimated costs from £2k a year to 2.5k a year.
Not recommended, and their billing system is very unsophisticated.

    Hmm. I'm not.

My switch to ESB was initiated on 30th November, and they tell me was completed on 17th December. OFTM have not acknowledged this at all. They continue to request readings and produce bills.
  • Avoid at all costs, constant mistakes, took 5 months to switch me and then recently doubled my direct debit and refuse to lower it due to a current dispute on my account, I have £400 credit at the moment and they refuse to give it back. They are criminal.

I agree, avoid at all costs. I left them in December.

They took another direct debit, two weeks after I left.

They dragged out producing the final bill.

Then I had to ask for them to refund my credit balance, I was told it would take 5-10 working days.

I just started to chat to chase and now they are claiming refunds take 14 working days.

Update: After my latest bout of chasing of my refund, they paid it the next day, just over 7 weeks after I left. Glad to finally close the book on this company.
  • The worst company I have ever dealt with. Charged me 20% more than the documented fees. Tried to increase my direct debit after I had left (with a credit balance).

After 3 months of dispute, I am still struggling to get a refund. Very slow response to emails and the replies feel like stock responses that don't address the issue.

    Never again.
  • I joined Outfox the Market ion July last year and can honestly say I’ve not had a problem with them. They looked to increase Winter DDs and lower Summer DDs, which I saw the logic with, but after a lot of complaints reversed this decision. Shows they listen to feedback. I’m still with them and on a better deal than I could get elsewhere. Don’t be too quick to judge. :)

They reversed the decision because they didn't want to be collecting reduced DDs during the approaching summer months. It seems to me to be simply a self-serving commercial decision to revert to full DDs from around this time of the year.

OFTM have now withdrawn my Jan and Feb invoices. :(

They also haven't taken my DD this month. :)

Maybe they are getting ready to remove my Gas account, which was transferred away on 20th December.

The halfwits just emailed me for another reading, though I switched to ESB two months ago.

I suspect this 'denial' is just a way of convincing their accountant they are a going concern.
  • Left Outfox the Market 8 weeks ago. The Customer Services Manager wrote.' We will request the refund of all credit after the final bill'. The final bill was dated 10 January.
Today, I am told 'the process for final bill takes upto 6-8 weeks once the final bill is raised we request the refund for you and refund takes upto 14 working days'
So, having left on 10 January, I could be waiting until 27 March for the outstanding refund of £116.76. Disgraceful.
