The terms and conditions previously said "Your monthly standard direct debit will be fixed based on the amount of energy we think you'll use each year of your contract divided by 12."
However, on the 25th October, they amended it to add "but may be weighted according to winter/summer seasonality." on the end of the sentence.
Can they just change the terms and conditions like this, without notifying customers, and to the detriment of customers? I've lodged a formal complaint, and will take it to OFGEM if needed. I suggest others do so too.
They also stated on Twitter that they hadn't increased my direct debit for the last two price rises, which makes no sense as I am on a fixed tariff, so have not had any price rises.
OutFox are clearing having cash flow issues, and are using their customers to finance these problems - interest free!

I also hope MSE will do an article on this matter.
Where did you find out the date that the T&Cs were changed? I was not notified of the change, which I view to be to my detriment.
Annoyingly they are still £120 cheaper than the next supplier. Does anyone know if this allows you to switch without having to pay the £50 exit fees?0 -
I’m on the Whack tariff, Ts and Cs say £50 per fuel early exit fee.
I am also on Whack fixed till Aug 2019. Had a webchat with them this morning and they have sent an E-mail copy of the webchat and I have in Black and white I can leave at no penalty exit fees.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
If they go bust, do I get my credit back ? Who supplies my G and E ?0

The only winners of this will be the big six, if this is anyone's first experience with a small supplier then it'll put them right off, and it has me a bit to be honest. I was on Bulb for three or so months before they hiked up their prices and slipped right down the charts, other than the increase that knocked them down the charts they were really good.
I'd like to see where these charlatans appear with the new data on the comparison sites, but with strange anual price esimate hikes it's hard to get handle on it now. I hate uncertanty.
My father switched to these too and is also unimpressed and he loves to shop around. I want to know how they have worked out the anual price increase for every member as it seems they have overinflated them all. I've never paid over £100 a month for energy, even on nPower.
I'll sit down and work out my correct anual usage from last years readings from nPower and apply that to the new pie in the sky KWh charges OFM have just given me to get a figure after the (probably one of many planned this winter) price increases. Damn, why didn't I go for a fixed tariff before the cold snap came!0 -

If they go bust, do I get my credit back ? Who supplies my G and E ?
If a supplier goes bust, Ofgem will appoint a Supplier of Last Resort. Your gas and electricity supplies will not be affected. If you have a credit balance, this is 100% protected by the Ofgem Consumer Levy. We all end up paying for failed suppliers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Yep. Just got my email re direct debits. Currently paying £125 and have about £300 credit. They inform me that I will be paying £217 in the winter and £93 in the summer. That is the last straw. They have already put my membership fee up from £18.99 to £20.40 - and I do not use more than the 13000 kwh that are required for the latter. They insist that their systems tell them that I have! I have only been with them since July, I am now off to pastures new...
Have just logged on to OFM and the chat has indeed been turned off. Only option is email which probably won't get answered anytime soon.0
