British Gas produced a final bill on the 17/1/18 with two readings for the electric the reading for the electric I paid for and the electric used in the free time, in my case a Sunday, now these two should have been added together by outfox the market but they were not. Al they did was take the highest reading of 7906 and say that I had used over £240 of electric in one month, they also upped my monthly electric payment from £8.99 to £11.99.
The gaining supplier should have asked you for a meter reading which would then be passed to the Data Collectors for validation and then passed back to both suppliers to open and close your accounts. I am not familiar with Freetime but I assume that your meter shows a single total reading figure in kWhs. This is the reading that should have been validated. The fact that BG was sub-dividing usage into normal and Freetime is purely a BG billing issue. Going forward, I assume that you will be on a single rate tariff and will be reading your own meter?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Just done a "quote me" and it's coming back with over 16p per unit instead of just over 10p - they have got to be having a laugh!
It varies from region to region they claimed 9.2p on their site but if you read into it, it seemed they used the lowest price to attract new customers my rate per unit is 10.45p.Someone please tell me what money is0 -

I tried to put meter readings in about a day or two before the switching date but couldn't , the site wouldn't let me, so on the 4th I clicked on web chat after failing to put in the reading yet again. I should have known something wasn't quite right when I was asked when I took the readings after tell the person them. Either way I ain't paying for electric that was supplied on the British Gas free time, if they try I will ask for a letter saying it is deadlocked and go to the regulator to get it sorted.Someone please tell me what money is0 -

It is often the case that meter readings provided by a consumer do not match the validated meter reading that comes back from the Data Collectors. That said, if you had a smart meter with BG then this should not be an issue. The reason that you were asked for a date is because the Data Collectors will then 'adjust' non smart meter meter readings back to the date of the actual transfer. The important thing to check is that OFTM and BG have used the same meter reading to open and close your supply accounts. If you are mot happy with your Final Bill then you will have to raise this as a complaint against BG.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. It's not British Gas I have the problem with it is OFTM who have not added the free electric to the final reading. as both are on my bill. If they sent a copy of the final bill to OFTM then it would show the two readings of 7906 &1844 giving a total of 9750 as my final reading I believe this is closer to the reading I gave the web chat rep on the 4/1/18Someone please tell me what money is0

I'm a little confused about a couple of things:
1) On the surface the tariff looks really cheap, but I can't work out whether the quoted price includes VAT or not. The T&Cs say that vat is added to their charges but it is unclear whether it has already been included in the calculation or not.
2) Under the fixed deal, the T&Cs say that the unit price is fixed but that they can increase your hero club membership cost based upon usage. Does this simply mean that they might move you into a different band if you go over the threshold, or can they increase the price whenever they like? Would you then still be locked in to the fix and have to pay the (£100) exit fees?
They have moved me up from £8.99 to £10.99 because of a !!!!-up with my final billing from BG they have given two readings the electric used Mon to Sat and the electric used on free time. they didn't add them together to give a total but just left them as two separate sets. I contacted them after months without any billing, which they claimed they produced monthly, this is when I found they had moved me to the high user band and made the error.Someone please tell me what money is0 -
Hi all,
Never had this with a gas and electric supplier before but Outfox the market said my switch for gas and electric successfully switched on the 3rd of April, 20 days later they've just informed my only my electric switched and they need my MPRN number for the Gas, How did it take 20 days to tell me the switch hadn't occured? that's not right?
Is there anything I can do aside from just to waiting for the switch to occur?
