  • As above he had to turn it off, I don’t know why he wasted the grids time, he could if capped it him self or even better capped it under the speed fit and then you would of still been able to use anything that was supplied prior to the speed fit. Was the problem before the meter?

    Get them back and see what they say now the gas is sorted, you’ve paid for it you may as well get them out.

    It had to be after the meter, only the grid works on the pipework before it and it not a mistake they would make and as it was outside it had to be the main pipe going into the building so no way to leave anything connected.


    As he wan't there to fix pipework then he really didn't have a choice but to call the grid. I would also assume the engineer capped the meter and labelled it, that's what 99% of us would do.

    Why did he need to call the grid if it was after the meter? He could of put a disk under the meter and left ID paperwork or he could put a cap before the speed fit and left ID paperwork. He wasn’t there to work on that but still could of made safe and then there’s no need for the grid to attend.
