  • Absolutely shattered again yesterday. It seems I can do a challenge as long as I get a day to collapse following it.

Today I met an MSE-er for a coffee and very pleasant it was too. I reckon the last time I went into shops in the city was about four years ago so it was definitely out of my comfort zone.

So more small steps. I just wish they weren't so exhausting. I have to come up with some new challenges for next week - anyone got any ideas?

Have a good weekend, thanks so much for popping by

Well done on the day out - some folks were just saying what fun it used to be when MSEers had meet-ups so I'm glad it's still happening.

There's nothing wrong with a day off between challenges. It's called recovery time. Something I learned when I took up running was that it's important to allow a day or so between runs in order for the body to repair itself. That doesn't mean do nothing, just don't run. I think your challenges may be like that.

Challenges for next week? The only one I'm involved in right now is trying to work through the contents of my freezer and kitchen cupboards - XSpender has a good thread on it with lots of people contributing ideas on the Old Style board. Is that your kind of challenge? I know you are trying to at healthily so maybe trying a new food or shopping at a farm shop or market might be an option. Only if that is accessible and affordable though.

    Look after yourself. :)

    xx

Pauline so pleased you made it into the city and met the other MSE lady . Have a rest today , it looks horrible outside here anyway .

You have done so much in the last week or so you should be proud of how far you have come .

  • Glad you got out Pauline, I haven't been to 'your' city centre for a few years although I always mean to. Used to be a lovely day out. Think you picked a great person to meet too.

Just read you met OH yesterday , did it get you any further to sorting things out apart from his meds and docs appt.

Weight is harder to shift when you get older. The motivation is easier in the summer , so don't lose heart.

    Have a good day.
